Ever think that horrible weather and televised games contributes to many of the empty seats? No, it is the losing. exactly... when the team is winning... people find reasons to go. Losing for as long as the program has... people are now finding reasons not to go.

Just saw Wincowski play at Watervliet in a sectional game. Let's just say we really dodged a bullet there. He'll be a D-2 player before it's said and done. Can't shoot. Had his first basket outside of 2 ft with 4 min left in the game. No 3's.
He's gonna have a really tough time getting on the court, even in the AE, even on the worst team.

Section record in points on layups because he can't shoot. Impressive.

Not really. The level on which he achieved this record is borderline comedic. He's gonna struggle mightily against D-1 athletes. I know he's your boy, but trust me, if he played at Shen he'd be their 4th option.

He's done so. As opposed to your boy Hymes. This kid is doubled and triple teamed most of the time he's out there and without a doubt the primary focus of the defense every night. It will definitely be interesting to see how he does at umbc. He shouldn't be seeing that kind of coverage/focus he's seeing now in high school

The only reason his team won was because the coachs son made 6 3's. Like I said before Joel was probably 1-10 outside of 2 ft. No one "had it out for him," You're right it's not his fault he plays withm and against, the kids from Teen Wolf. Scoring records just need to be put in perspective. He's going to one of the worst 10 programs in D-1, so he better succeed. He's not as good as the kid Radz from Troy, and he can't get a D-1 sniff. He'd be just another kid on Shen.

There was a kid from Glens Falls 20 years ago that, as a junior, had over 2000 pts while playing for his father at St. Marys of Glens Falls. The father knew the kid was playing at a horrible level. and paid to have his son to play for Jim Zullo at AA Shen his senior year. He was a GREAT shooter, not as good a driver as JW, and a few inches smaller. He had a decent senior year, but wasn't close to being the best player on the team. He fit in, and got a scholarship to LeMoyne. The perfect level for him. Let's just say if JW did the same thing, he'd probably only have D-2 offers. But being 6'2" and scoring that many points, an awful NCAA D-1 school, 1000 miles away felt it was worth the risk taking him. Let's see how it pans out.

I get it, you're on the record saying he us a D2 player and will be forced to transfer down. That's his best level, and even there, he wouldn't be anything special. Could he sit the bench for 4 years, and have the same coach not care if he contributes as long as he's a good teammate and keeps the team GPA up? Absolutely. He couldn't have picked a better school (well it was his only choice) to make an impact at. Ranked in the mid 300's and heading even further down. At least his family will get to see him once next year at the UA game. Twice actually, since UVM isn't that bad a drive from GF.
