BWI is also a short (47 minutes in the air) flight from Albany on Southwest and pretty reasonable when you have your travel dates well in advance. UMBC campus is no more than a ten minute drive from the rental car facility via I-495. Parents can see a lot of games.

They're playing Plattsburgh Tues. at Potsdam. Plattsburgh obviously is a pretty good team but I would think by seeing their records that Ogdensburg has a good shot to beat them. See ya at HVCC.

it will definitely be interesting to see how it pans out. He has a great build and shoots well... moves well without the ball.
but this ...
"LaRose, who committed to Siena College near Albany in February, became the first high school recruit from Section 10 to sign with a Division 1 basketball program in 37 years."
is this the same Plattsburgh team that OFA beat 93-45 in December?

I86 says Four Mcglynn is graduating and leaving Towson... May not be the athlete we're looking for but he's a proven scorer. His name is Four....maybe he wants to be an accountant.

He's a proven shooter. There's no interest on our part. Looking like a 5th year kid (our best fit) isn't going to happen. I'd settle for a JC kid, but definitely not another freshman. I'd take a kid like Jeremiah Williams (#4) from Canisius in a second. Athletic as hell, and can shoot the 3. We need something along those lines to ensure a legitimate run at a MAAC title next year.

I think the kid that signed 37 years ago was Rick Carlisle......

A graduate transfer at Siena is about as likely as a unicorn wearing ice skates on a Wednesday in July.

Why can't a kid pursue a double major?

Well he was a communication studies major....he could add psychology or sociology to that easily.

Apparently yes. Plattsburgh has a record of 16-7 or thereabouts.

I got this from their newspaper up "in the North Country." So, he might be the 1st recruit D1 in 37 years but he's the first ever to win this award twice in 41 years. Don't know what the criteria is. For what it's worth.(see below) Ogdensburg’s Kinnon LaRose is the recipient of this year's Joe Jukowski award, becoming the first player in the 41-year history of the award to win in back-to-back years. Other nominees included Harrisville’s Nate Weaver, Salmon River’s Antoine Domino and Ogdensburg’s Jack Manke.
