WOW! The anti-Mitch. Smooth, says all the right things. Personality plus. Stressed the press and fast game. This is exciting. I didn't hear or see anything that would not encourage us all. The guy is sharp. Great job John D.

Loved it - welcome to the family Jimmy! Besides being pleased with overall a take away for me is that there wasn't a single answer he gave that I was like "ahh really..." You know what I mean?
Can wait to see what he can do with the program!

Can someone please post the link? Link above. Jimmy did well. Still in the habit of saying "you" for Siena and "us" for Loyola, which is understandable and he eventually caught himself doing it and corrected it. Iimagine that? A coach that recognizes an error and corrects it  He said all the right things, and more importantly, I think he MEANT them. A favorite little throwaway quip was him saying that WHEN we beat UAlbany, he'll take the team to Barcelona's. Love the subtle brashness. |

Amazing energy - he is really pumped to be here. Did anyone else notice that he did NOT have a piece of paper in his hand or look at any notes!!!!!!!!!!!

2 things:
1) Love the "Saints Alive" promo before the interview - I fully expect plenty of fund raising efforts. Get used to it - they are going to be running and pressing the fan base at every turn. The more that is raised, the more feasible a move up to A10 becomes...
2) "Because if we don't win, they are going to fire me" - he was joking, but he knows that the fan base expects to win and win big. I love that he addressed that, joked about it, and understands and accepts the expectations.
The guy is genuine, he wants to be here, he has experience, he's smooth with the media...there is a lot to like here.

I liked hearing he will run and press no matter what team he has. Looks like the Saints will get back to doing what they do best. No more struggling to hit 60 ppg. I bet a lot of the current players that people think are mediocre will end up being all-MAAC caliber players once Patsos lets them play finally.

The guy is genuine and down to earth and clearly bright. Hopefully he can coach. I love the fact that he said he wants to go to Maryland! If he gets there it means he did well at Siena. Hopefully we are sending him on his was after a few NCAA wins and maybe a final four! Lol |

Wow that was a great interview. Mentioned about 30 different famous names during the interview. He seems to love Siena and want to be here. He had some great passion about basketball.
Next step is to fill the staff and get recruits.
Love the hire so far.
