One of few wins for the Saints this year includes a hard fought win at Niagara back in Juaruary. Niagara will most certainly be looking for some payback when the Purple Eagles visit Siena this Thursday.
Last home game of the year which includes senior night. Steven Lazar the lone senior should be in the starting lineup on Thursday.

Is it true that the lone senior has never scored a single point in a Siena uniform?

Is it true that the lone senior has never scored a single point in a Siena uniform? I believe that to be true. Team should go out their way to be sure he gets some points.

Is it true that the lone senior has never scored a single point in a Siena uniform? The idiot coach has a scrub walk-on creeping toward playing 800 minutes this year and might lead the team in minutes. They should let Lazar play the whole game. Make-A-Wish kids blush at how many wishes Carm granted to the scrub from Shen and the kid's father.

Yes, a walk on means he wants to be part of the team- what causes you to hate him due to that? How much he plays is on the coach's decision, not his. Yes, his father graduated from Siena. No one has presented any evidence that anything is owed Mason. He is a walk on who wanted to go to Siena and be on the team. The rest is up to the coach. Sorry, but until someone shows some evidence to me, I will continue to root for Mason, for Kyle, and for Michael, and for ALL the Saints!!

Yeah not the kid’s fault and I have no problem going after players who deserve it. Eley is very soft and basically quit on the team. Durugordon also seems to have a “mysterious” injury. But Courtney isn’t a D1 player. It is not his fault that Carm is forced to play him 37 minutes a game. He’s trying hard. Nick Saban once said if you’re allowing it you’re coaching it. Carm has allowed things to get his bad.

If the players who have been sitting out can practice and play Siena has a "shot" to get the W, but nothing is a given with this Siena team. The question is do the non-playing walking wounded group want to play again this season or at all at Siena or not. If they do, they have to play at least one of the remaining two games going into the tournament. The regular season was a lost cause long ago. Does that group want to see if they can put something together in the tournament? I would think/hope that at least for the sake of their teammates they should/would give it a shot and get out on the floor and practice and play the last two games and see what happens in AC. We'll have our answer soon enough.

I hope Carm starts Lazar and gives him extended playing minutes. Can he be any worse than what we have been seeing all season? The Saints have nothing to loose and nothing to gain. This season has been a complete bust. The kid has been on the team for 4 years, been great in the class room and always is cheering on his teammates. Another loss or another win makes no difference. The Record has already been broken. Let the Kid Play!

In fact Mason has earned his scholarship more than most of the non walk ons on our squad. He never quit on his team and he gave 110% at all times. Maybe some of the others with much more natural talent than Mason should have followed his lead.

Carm needs every scholarship available for real DI talent. Mason put forth the effort and commitment you would expect from any player on the team, scholarship or walk-on, but to me that is irrelevant. Siena needs 13 players with DI talent and then supplement them with quality walk-ons who can compete in practice and in spot action if needed. If a walk-on can beat out a scholarship player you failed on the recruiting trail. This year has proved that proposition.

Mason is Carm...when Carm was on Fran's team. Mason would be fine, maybe even pretty good on Fran's team...as a 9th or 10th player. He's put up 20+ at least twice this season. Again, not saying he's a starter but he's alright. The issue is he's needed to be a starter.

If Courtney gets 2 more seasons surrounded by a supporting class similar to this years he’ll double Carm’s numbers. Which won’t bode well for Siena

Again, not saying he's a starter but he's alright. The issue is he's needed to be a starter. Mason is 10th on this terrible team in Player Efficiency Rating, he would not be 9th or 10th man on just about any Siena team in history. Scary thing is despite being the 10th most efficient player he is 2nd in minutes and could still wind up 1st. He's a good shooter when left wide open but is a massive liability on the defensive end. Here are Siena's rankings in defense during Carm's tenure: 2019-2020 - 130th 2020-2021 - 24th 2021-2022 - 181st 2022-2023 - 91st 2023-2024 - 275th A huge part of the reason for that drop-off is walk-ons playing so many minutes. Kyle Winters is Carm's new co-fave, he's 11th on the team in player efficiency. Both of them are good walk-ons that can put up points if given the minutes while giving up a ton of points on the defensive ends. These are the guys we should be cheering on getting buckets at the end of blow out wins, not guys that should be playing regular minutes.
