Curious where people stand. I'm torn between wanting changes now but also realizing that in the NIL era the $800k you are spending to buyout a contract is almost directly coming out of money that would be going into NIL.

I’m not selecting an option.
A monkey could recruit with $800k at the low - mid major level. He needs to go, I don’t appreciate his arrogance and how he treats his players. He’s a poster child for poor leadership ! He needs to go, the damage is done.
I also don’t think you can say with any certainty that the entire $800k would come from NIL sources, maybe a portion would be redirected, or maybe not.

I would hope that both D'Arg and Carm recognize their failure and resign. That is not likely to happen, but one would hope that any person would understand their incompetence and move on to another career option. Carm has a great work ethic and in an area where he more competent he can be successful. Understanding the new era of college basketball coaching/administration is obviously not in his skill set. D'Ang has been out of his depth for a long time. Face it and move on.

I'm not renewing my 2 tickets (down from 4 previously) next year unless Carms gone and Dargenio is out of the picture so I'm in.

It’s not like the revenue generated by the hoops program sits on a shelf. It used by the college to offset operations. Revenue from the program isn’t going to be specifically set aside and used to buyout Carm. Any buyout comes off Siena’s bottom line (which I don’t believe they can afford). It looks like the administration is willing to roll the dice and hope that a certain percentage of existing holders renew while Siena takes a wait and see approach on Carm next year. I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Unless he’s gone put me in the non-renewal category.

If the coach is dismissed and the AD remains, absolutely nothing will change. It will be a case of wash, rinse, repeat. The AD has shown no ability to hire a coach who has the ability to run a successful program.
I can't imagine the list of coaches who want this job will be anything great. He will walk into a roster devoid of talent, weak leadership in the athletic department, and a BOT that walks a fine line between keeping the academics and the athletics happy, rather than giving athletics what it needs to thrive. When Patsos was fired, the list of candidates were not that strong. The school was in a $4 million hole at that time. Most of the debt has been alleviated, so maybe it can come up with a salary to bring in someone who knows what the hell they're doing, but based on previous outcomes, I doubt that.

That post is total nonsense. Nothing is going to happen before the end of the year and doubt that would even happen!

My wife advised me this morning that she heard or read Siena was bringing Carm back next season? If so I'm out. GO SAINTS That’s Darg in the TU typical damage control speak. We’ve read that everytime Siena has fired a coach. There’s always a vote of confidence article regardless. With that said if boosters and NIL withhold money I think that gets the colleges attention. Hard to tell where this goes it’s still early on.
