Have to wonder what was happening at practice this past week.
A coach only starts a walk-on when he wants to send the message “Only players who want to play will start” … Winters played for 27 minutes (tied for highest) … Carm has lost the team … March can’t get here soon enough

Zek not coming out of the locker room in the 2nd is a HUGE red flag. Starting a walk-on...what's that say about your recruiting coach? Still think you can win a championship? There's "projecting confidence" and then there's being an effing moron. Beyer got nuked after a 40 point loss in the MAAC tourney. We've had multiple 30+ point losses to conference opponents this year. What's it going to take!?!?

And he won’t play Frazier because he didn’t like some practice habits. Well if you don’t play I can see not wanting to kill yourswlf for the guy in practice

I have the answer, someone who gives a shit about Siena basketball hitting the lottery for a couple billion and paying his buyout or 2 more years of this garbage on the court.

You keep saying that I don’t think you realize how toxic it is. Carm is finished. He probably would’ve been back but it’s gotten so ugly their hand will be forced. The players have QUIT.

So has the coach- when you lack talent you get to see the quality of the coaching to be able to get that team to compete. Nuff said!

Could it be possible that he actually hopes to be fired knowing he’ll get a chunk of change and can spend more time with the family? Then gets a job not related to basketball?

I can’t see this going on much longer.

If guys are refusing to play I don’t see how you don’t make a change now.
Certainly I can’t see how he’s back next year.
Maybe they got word he’s going to blow up the roster.
How the hell has this happened to Siena three times in 11 years now?
Please fire D’Arg.
Why is this man allowed to be the AD until the end of the age?

After last night’s loss, this Siena team has now lost 8 games by 20 points or more, with 10 games left against a watered down MAAC. This program is at an all time low. Worse than Beyer, Mitch and Patsos worst years. Even last year’s team was at least competitive despite the losing streak down the stretch. I won’t knock the players, as I think some of them are being put in an impossible situation versus their abilities. The responsibility rests with leadership.

I do not ever recall a previous team where walk-ons get more playing time and are starting over players that are on scholarship. Typically Walk-ons get their playing time during practice and garbage time at the end of games.

As an example, McFadden came in to the game last night for Rider at around the 5 minute mark and 40 point lead. Proper use of a walk on. I think he hit a shot too.

Former intramural players were getting playing time over the scholarship players and trying to play against Dave Bing and Jimmy Boeheim of Syracuse and Rich Barry of Miami. It wasn't pretty. That was Coach Gallaghar's last year. They brought in a new coach and recruited some guys who ended up in the NBA including Calvin Murphy. Change was needed then and change is needed now at Siena.

Would Carm himself want two more years of this. It has to be eating at him. Could he possibly just mail it in for two more years? And if he did, wouldn't that provide cause for dismissal? Maybe a brave player could sacrifice himself by getting Carm so mad that he strikes the player? D'Arg didn't act when he hit Tekin but maybe he'd act now given this situation.
