I couldn’t agree more lmnop22 not much Fr Kevin could say … When Mason was flirting with A10 last year people inside talked and they had egg on their face when A10 went in another direction

The A-10 commissioner has had a whirlwind year. First, she's a genius for bringing in VCU and Butler. Then, Butler and Xavier announce they're leaving, and she's seen as desperate adding George Mason so quickly.
Talk about a no-win situation. And it will (hopefully) repeat itself when Saint Louis moves on.

FWIW, the people I've talked to said we're probably sticking with 13 for next season. Siena is on board for 2014-2015 but we haven't given an invite yet which will be several weeks away.
That will give us 14 for 2014 or 12 if we have 2 more Big East defections. __________________

2014-15 makes sense for a number of reasons:
1. MAAC buyout fee would be lower (assuming notice is given by 6/30; 2. New coach can go out recruiting in July being able to sell recruits on competing in the A10 for their entire careers; 3. Tangible progress on new facilities before the move becomes official; 4. Based on Loyola precedent, no ban on participation in MAAC tournaments for any sports in 2013-14;

NEC changed their bylaws once Monmouth and Quinny left saying teams would no longer be eligible. Are you sure MAAC has same bylaws? They did have those meetings a while back.

I may be wrong, but I feel the MAAC has been preparing for a possible move by Siena. I thought it was strange for the MAAC to invite two schools after Loyola announced it's departure. Why would the conference want an odd number of schools? Seems like the MAAC was being proactive.

Sour grapes. Despite our worst year ever in Div. 1, we still took UMass to the wire.

A-10 fans are all over the place. I think they expect Xavier and Temple to change their minds.
