Always fun to watch the cloak and dagger aspect of hiring key employees and deal making (ie leaving one conference and joining another)!

People with integrity would not be available to comment or say no comment.
So I assume he is telling the truth which means Siena basketball's future is questionable.

Fr Kevin is a honorable man- I am quite sure there has been no “official contact” and of course we have no official invite, until that day there will be no official contact- gives both sides plausible deniability. No official invite will be tendered unless the A10 knows Siena will accept it. Siena won’t talk about official contact with the A10 until an official offer is made. Pretty simple really. If the A10 is done expanding for this year—then no official invite. We stay in the MAAC get a new coach and go back on top of the MAAC where we belong. If they expand one more, I like our chances . Nothing is guaranteed. We have no control over what the A10 does. And because of our record the last 3 years we are not the easiest sell in the world .Just hang tight and hope for the best.

What nobody said, but everybody should be thinking, is why Fr. Kevin isn't INITIATING contact contact with the A-10 to SELL Siena.

He said that's not his posture... you guys want instant gratification. We are coming off three straight losing seasons. last season we sucked. We are damn lucky the A10 is considering us at all. If the invite comes great, if it doesn't..well lets get back to dominating the MAAC

Just tell me it is going to happen so my blood pressure can go back down Tony. Lol. If the move doesn't happen at this point, it would be an extreme disappointment for myself and I am sure many other fans.

I agree with Tony- lets get back to MAAC dominance with the new coach, and things will look better for a possible move to the A-10.

It has never been up to us. If accepting that we can only wait while the A-10 figures out how and what and when is conceding that IT is never gonna happen then I guess it won't. I have no inside info but I do think that with all the discussions from a variety of sources something is likely in the works. The situation is fluid now and it appears that we are in a reasonable position to move up at some point in the next year or two. I remain hopeful!

Tony, I wouldn't worry about the past three seasons affecting a potential invite. The head coach IS the program in many respects. We had an awful head coach for that period and I am sure the A10 realizes that fact. Bottom line is that Siena has all the resources to succeed in the A10; facilities, fan support, media coverage, etc. If a program like La Salle can do well, than Siena can DEFINITELY be at the top of that conference with the right coach.

you really think the admin are going to come out and tell you what they are doing? I think most should be happy that Father Kevin suggested that if the phone rang he would def. listen. It would be horrible to come right out and say this what we are going after because if you do all that and YOU DON't get in then you leave a bad taste in the MAACs mouth and you can be sure that will come back to bite the college in the ass. I got two things from that quote...first Siena is doing what it can to get into the league and have had conversations, but also father kevin, BOD and AD really have to make sure they can compete on all sports...basketball can compete, now what about the other 17
