No one out here has ever said they've talked. What IS known, is that Patsoso wants the Siena job badly, and isn't afraid to tell people about it!

I thought I read Singelais saying on Twitter that D'Arg was in Bmore yesterday? Im assuming that is where that comes from.

D'Arg was in Baltimore recently according to Singelais. I have to believe he was there for Patsos. Maybe conference relignment? I think they can still talk even if Loyola is still playing.
I hope Loyola gets beat on Sunday against Kent State...they keep winning games in this ridiculous CIT tournament (and those tournaments are pretty silly) if will put it off. RMU plays at Providence on Monday they should lose that freeing Toole up. Paulsen and Pitino are free to talk now (we could be hearing something on Paulsen soon)
The talks should heat up this week...my prediction is the coach is named within 10 days.

No way D'Arg is talking to Patsos directly if Loyola's season is still in progress.
Not sure about having a coach in 10 days MTS, my guess is this is still in beginning stages, they're still compiling a list and the Siena people go to the Final 4 in 2 weeks, and that's where the ball really gets rolling.

How come in College Football, the coaches can quit before the bowl games and take a new job, but in hoops, there is no way they are talking. Of course they are talking, just under the radar

The CIT tournament is only ridiculous when you aren't in it. Any time you can keep playing it is a good thing. Mike calm down, stop rooting for your coaching favorites to lose and show some patience. It will happen.

The trip to Baltimore could be to meet with anyone, from anywhere. Get a grip guys, maybe D'Argenio just wanted some crab cakes.

There's no need to wait until the Final Four. Fran was introduced the Friday before they left to go to the Final Four. Everyone we are looking at will be done sometime this week most likely. Siena has basically known since late December/ early January they'd be looking for a new coach in March - the list should already be completed. And Bill the CIT/CBI tournaments don't mean much. Only good thing is they allow teams with everyone coming back to get more time play in games together.

This is a big country, with tons of potential candidates. To say that you.....or anyone, really......honestly and truly know who John is "looking at" is just silly. Speculate all you want, and I'm sure that some of the names that have been discussed here are in the mix, but there could be any number of other candidates whose names have not been mentioned. Just relax. It will happen when it happens.

Of course they are talking, just under the radar the reason you see coaches taking college football jobs sooner before bowl games...............is the reg season ends earlier and it is to coordinate with the recruiting signing period..........schools want to have a coach in place for that recruiting scenario, and the bowls take place after that !!!!!!!!!!
