Not one reporter gave me credit for a story I broke before Pitino even went to St. John’s😂 I agree, you were ahead of the curve!

No offense taken, I get it completely. I generally try not to post unless I think my information is reliable. I’m on this board numerous times a day, and rarely post. I am relatively well connected in the Section 1, Section 9, and CHSAA area. More so section 1 and 9 these days. But down here this is not a secret. I was up at states in Glens Falls this weekend, but I have family that was at the CYO Championships at Holy Child in Rye this week. Even they said the talk of the day was about Tobin going to Iona. If he doesn’t end up there I would strongly guess it would be because a better job comes along, or they don’t pony up for his assistants. I said earlier this morning Cooley was possibly going to GT, looks like it happened. I’m also thinking Tobin gets a look from Providence. What do you think? President of St John’s was Providence president who hired Cooley … probably tried to get him to SJU but Cooley saw G’town having more resources for him to get his championship ring … Tobin will use Iona job as a stepping stone to the next level … Siena is his only obstacle 😇

Hey, I see a local DII coach who had success in the past is back at St. Rose. May be awkward being an assistant under his former assistant.

Anderson to Iona was a no brainer. It is a perfect match. "Small school" coach, uptempo style, swarming defense and he doesn't have to relocate his family. Iona interviewed him before they hired Pitino so he was a known commodity to them. Likely would have been considered even without the NCAA win.
