Only 3 (well officially 2) games. No issues with the teams on the schedule. Too many road/neutral court games.

Only 3 (well officially 2) games. No issues with the teams on the schedule. Too many road/neutral court games. Worth noting that the American series got screwed up by COVID and impacted the home game total. Now, could we have added a home game instead of the Georgetown buy game? Potentially. But the money from the buy game helps the program for things like staff, the Italy trip, etc. If the American series had ended last year as expected and we had filled that with a home and home (as would be standard), we’d have 3 true home games plus Albany in our gym, 4 road games and 3 neutrals. Instead, American having to carry over means we get 2+1 home games, 5 roadies, and 3 neutrals. Is what it is.

Issue is, the MAAC schedules more like a low major than a mid major when it comes to balancing home/away games. I think it was 2019 I looked at it and the MAAC had the fewest home games through mid December of any conference. It’s a recipe for the bad computer ratings that Carm is blamed for. I’ll try to find my posts on it.

The game vs FSU is at 11AM on ESPN2 on Thanksgiving Perfect before football and Thanksgiving dinner. If you are not the one hosting the Thanksgiving dinner. Not everyone has that luxury.
