Kissed and made up with Carm? Are him and Carm having some sort of issue no one knows about? Well, my understanding is that Tai showed up to campus with an injury/surgery that he never disclosed and Carm wasn’t too pleased. The fact that a few weeks ago, Carm didn’t know the status of Tai’s injury/recovery made it seem like he wasn’t keeping very close tabs on him. The rest is just pure speculation on my part. If I offered a kid a full ride to come play hoops for me and he accepted and then showed up injured and unable to play (and he hadn’t said a word to me about it), I’d be PISSED…so I’m kinda speculating based on all that that there may have been some issues in their relationship. Are we sure he showed up to campus with an undisclosed pre-existing knee injury? In this August "meet your newcomers" video, he's shown doing preseason workouts without any obvious sign of injury. youtu.be/cedb47sdmhQ

Perhaps he already had the surgery, didn’t tell Carm and there was an issue with the procedure/recovery that set him back??? I prob shouldn’t even be speculating because I really have no idea…just trying to connect some dots in the most logical way I can. 🤷🏻♂️

Hope I'm wrong, but gut feeling is that he doesn't play and is out next year.

Hopefully Thailand will become healthy enough to play and we can all see his ability on the court in the future. He had some debilitating injuries he's been trying to correct I'm sure so please stop bashing the kid after all he's part of the Siena family too !! GO SAINTS!!

I don't think the bashing is directed so much at TO, more the decision to burn two years of scholarship on a player that may never play a minute. Coupled with the Gaines burnt scholarship it is a worrisome trend and I don't know if Carm is to blame (worrisome) or if the administration is simply not willing to work with the basketball program and shift kids to academic scholarships when their basketball career is over (even more worrisome). Coming off an almost unfathomable zero points from the bench against Delaware it has become incredibly clear how much we could have been helped by two impact transfers instead of Gaines and TO. As to TO as an individual, I think the main frustration has been how little he seemingly has been involved in the program. If he's earning a scholarship then it seems reasonable to expect that he be at every practice soaking in all the knowledge that he can and that he be on the bench for every game. If he's both at practices now and on the bench for games then we are trending in the right direction.

Who knows the whole story but I am sure not being at games or practices is not his decision (it would be Carms or with Carms approval). What is more concerning to me about this whole situation is he supposedly had surgery before his freshmen year without telling the staff. Then the rumors were it wasn’t the greatest recovery and then he goes to the same Dr in GA that did the first one for his second surgery. Seems like a lack of communication but who knows for sure. I feel bad for the kid and I’m sure he wants to be out there playing more than we want him out there. I hope whatever happens it works out for him.

Most of us in here are hoping for a recovery which will make T. O. a contributor to the program … I think it is fair to say that over the years Siena has put their emphasis on ‘student’ rather than ‘athlete’ unlike some of the other MAAC schools … even to the point where some players were held back from road trips to complete some late coursework. I’m sure that attitude also applies to leaning on the side of caution when it comes to health matters.

Face it, the kid will never see the court in a Siena uniform.
