Anyone hear the caller who said that the rumor around the program is that Rob Poole does not want to play with Brookins and Hymes so he will be transferring?
Can we at least let the coaching get settled before the transfer rumors start?

Umm, you just brought the rumor here. You were probably the caller, too.

IMHO Siena's guard play or lack of was one of the reasons we had such a poor showing this year. I'm afraid our guards are undersized, poor decision makers and can't create (2 guards). We're in a guard oriented conference. Until this gets rectified we will continue to struggle even with a new coach. Mark my words!

Can't blame him. #1 MUST HAVE is a true PG that values posessions. The 2 small guys won't be happy with the new guy getting 38 min. a night, so don't expect both back. Maybe one, but no way both stay.

I bet either Brookens or Hymes leaves Siena...because there no way in hell they are both playing at the same time next year. And NO HEAD COACH IS TAKING THEIR CRAP !
Poole is Siena basketball next year !

Can we at least let the coaching get settled before the transfer rumors start? With a new, winning coach, Poole is actually one of the last guys I think would leave. As everyone says, a legit-sized PG is a basic need for the future. By the way, anyone notice how much action Chris Lepp saw this weekend? So much for rewarding him for his 7 assist spot start. Oh, well, time to look ahead now...

The whole team is soft, that includes OD who is done. The more guys that leave the better for the new coach, but I dont see many places for anybody to go.

I disagree - with the right motivation I believe there is enough talent on this team to start rebuilding properly. Could we use more talent? Sure, but you underestimate what most of these guys are capable of in the right system. The next coach will have to figure out how to handle the guard situation, and somebody may have to accept different roles, but the right coach has enough to be competitive.

Some of you overestimate players, just because a kid chooses Siena doesnt mean he has talent. Talented players can play in any system, stop making excuses for the players.
Coaches are paid to win and fired when they lose, players play the games, so who gets credit for what happens on the court?

Agreed , at the risk of upsetting Papi ( who is a tried and true Mitch lover) Mitch sucked at recruiting as well as coaching , in fact not much I can say Mitch did well as head coach as his game management sucked also.
