I didn’t leave him off by accident. Seriously? Another one? I need a spreadsheet to keep track of all the comings and goings. Well at least he was a walk-on who didn't cost anything during his brief stay. Now they need 2 big men.

I think one big will do and probably leave the last ship open unless someone really good wants to come.

Is Denzel still around? I'd feel better going in with just the two bigs if we at least had him for emergencies. If he is gone we almost have to take a big even if he's a stiff just to have an extra body around when there is foul trouble.

He was honored on senior night this season, so unless he pulls a Smithen, he gone. As a snippet from a TU article: Siena turned to walk-on senior forward Denzel Tchougang, honored with Camper and graduate forward Harrison Curry in the pregame ceremony. Tchougang made his first appearance of the season and had a three-point play.

Hopkins (Belmont) Rogers (Cal Poly) Johnson (Middle Tennessee) Gaines (Northwestern) Kellier (Utah) Baer (Iowa) Stormo (Pepperdine) Over half of Siena’s scholarship players will be transfers next season... likely for the first time ever. This is the way rosters will have to be built going forward. At least half of you're roster will be with transfers ....a bunch with multiple years left and a few one year rentals. Glad that Carm is embracing it. With the big man still to be added (and if we hold the last spot) that will be 8 transfers, 3 frosh and and two scholarship players on the roster last year (non-transfers) in Carpenter and Young. Hopefully in the future the turnover isn't as big once this one crazy free-for-all offseason passes.

I don’t believe so, at least it hasn’t been mentioned that he’s leaving. I think the reason he left Arrington off the list of transferring in players for 2021-22 is because Arrington was part of the 20-21 transfers in list. 🙂 Just because he had to sit a year didn’t reclassify him as a 21-22 transfer.

I believe he’s still on the team. He won’t be. That’s new. But besides in your scenario he still shouldn’t have been included in the 21-22 transfer list anyway.

I wouldn't leave a scholarship open. The way transfers are now, 100% chance you will have multiple defectors every year, may as well load up with as many as you can and see what sticks.

100% agree not to leave any open. I think we will see a drastic decline in mid-season transfers with the immediate eligibility waiver.

Let's take a kid like Pickett who has already burned his free pass and gets to the ACC and is riding the bench. Couldn't he midseason transfer and be eligible to play second semester the following season?

So many guys transferring that would have immediate eligibility and incoming freshmen. He’d have to be awful good to sacrifice a year to move in that direction.

Maybe not but who would have ever thought Elijah Burnes would have been available mid-season? I would like to fill all scholarships but if you sit on one there is at least still the possibility of a mid-season transfer. I don't buy that the new rule will eliminate all mid-season transfers like some are assuming.
