Muscala is very good I wouldn't call him "NBA worthy"... he's basically a Rossiter clone which is a high compliment. Doesn't Paulsen get credit for bringing him to Bucknell? He didn't inherit him. I wouldn't say Paulsen "lost" at Le Moyne he was 42-39. How is Evans as good? He has a LOSING record at the same school and has NEVER been a HC in D1? Muscala is on every mock draft out there, but you're right, he's not NBA worthy. Evans was 21 games under ..500 his first 2 years, he's above .500 in the 11 years since. Sure Paulsen gets credit for recruiting and developing Muscala, but it doesn't make him great. I'd like to see him win more with that advantage. An NBA big in the Patriot is a huge advantage. Ok, not for nothing..........but you do realize his Patriot league record the last 4yrs with this BIG is 43-10...........I would say that equates to a sizable advantage, in many ways that mirrors Fran to a little lesser degree during a similar stretch!!!!!!!!!!!

Clearly winning 80% of your games isn't good enough.
As for Evans, even if you discount those first 2 seasons he is still only 161-148 the other 11. That is a .521 winning pct. his typical season is 15-14. He should never enter into consideration.

Building a program, showing improvement, record compared to resources, have you considered any of those?

The last 11 years:
17-12 17-11 11-17 12-16 14-15 15-14 20-11 18-10 12-15 12-14 12-13
I know Rome wasn't built in a day, but it doesn't take longer than a decade to build a program.

Building a program, showing improvement, record compared to resources, have you considered any of those? you mention some major factors, those are excellent area's to focus on or should be looked at very closely in the selection process...............now that being said, by winning 80% of your games...........you HAVE essentially & effectively built a winning program, certainly showed improvement by glossy record, and no matter the resources available you achieved superb results (perhaps you even went above and beyond any expectations with very little resources)......................this isn't a flat out endorsement of Paulsen as our next coach, but good golly, the very items you point against him or any candidate with his this type of success are not exactly holding any water at this point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't say anything against Paulsen except that he's not in my top 6. Some people think he's the savior of the program. I don't. As for winning 80%, his Bucknell winning % was 54.6 entering this year, not 80%.

Paulsen's first 4 years at Bucknell: 7-23, 14-17, 25-9, 25-10. Losing seasons 2 out of 4. Where is that 80%?

Where is that 80%? look, it is pretty simple.................those yrs you list you see progress building................check...................80% as it was mentioned is for his in league record with the NBA BIG on his roster, as you asked that you expected more with a talent like that, not sure you could ask for more.........coaches are first and foremost GEARED towards winning their league and getting ncaa bids, Paulsen has that league by the throat...............check...................not sure what more you need to see or understand AND again this is NOT an endorsement solely on him as the # 1 choice nor that he will be a saviour if selected............BUT he blows the doors off of Steve Evans.............end of discussion!!!!!!!

NCAA bids? Who represented the Patriot last year? Lehighton, you say? League by the throat? Lmao. End of discussion? Why, because your lies are showing? If you think he's better, that's fine. If you have to lie to support your belief, you have problems.

A few things guys—there is no right or wrong here—at this point just throwing out names. Once Mitch is removed- fired- shit canned ( whatever) then we will hear what the criteria is for next head coach… I’m assuming it’s going to be prior head coaching experience- preferably D1 experience and hopefully a winning overall record. At this point don’t care all I want is ABMB ( anyone but Mitch Buonaguro) The sooner the program wrecker is gone the better as far as I’m concerned

According to the Siena Saints Twitter feed, 146 season tickets were renewed last night. While that may seem like a low number, it apparently exceeds last year's promotion total. My guess is this thread had a lot to do with it. :-)
