Those numbers look bad but our ceiling is higher than most candidates due to the fan base. Those numbers don't look bad when you compare them to the other teams competing for the open spots. I'd be willing to bet none of the others mentioned have 4 too 100 RPI's in the last 14 years. To be clear, I mean candidates for about 9th thru 12th spots, not Xavier or Butler.

I agree-- while to saintsfan's point the team has had some bad seasons, there is a lot to like about Siena's candidacy, from big time "upsets" to the top 50 rpis to the consistent top 100 fan base (that travels to the far corners of the USA in good times and bad I might add). Hopefully when some of the stench is removed siena will be viewed more favorably by those inside and outside the program.

It's unfortunate that Siena has had the down years but in reality, almost every program in the country does. Playing in the MAAC makes it harder to recover from them. Siena's resume should only be compared to the schools that are likely being considered for the last 3 spots and realistically Siena is the best of them.

As of today every one of the Big 6 conferences has someone #164 or worse in RPI. 4 BCS schools have an RPI of 217 or worse.
