I personally hope it's not Patsos' last visit.
After reading the article, I'm not sure Jimmy wants to leave Albany this weekend!! lol

If the rumors surrounding Jimmy and other potential interested applicants are true, this is going to be a MAJOR test for the selection committee, D'Arg and Father Kevin. With the strategic plan released, the college and athleltic department are at another one of their most critical crossroads IMHO. The Men's Basketball program is the core of the plan, and the course set by this decision has to have the potential to be reflected upon the same way the original move to D-1 is in the scope of things. Perhaps even moreso in 2013 because of the money now associated with a successful mid-major. Again, just my 2 cents.

Siena should still have Paulsen and Toole ahead of Patsos. But it would be funny to see sign up at the dog pound - we want Patsos at Siena or we want you too Jimmy" lol ;D
Note: ESPN Albany this morning was calling for Mitch's head saying " he is done at Siena " ! But ripping the Admin. for the inconsistency of hoops program ! Asking " Why does this happen ? "

I think where there's smoke there is fire. Whoever Hoopjunkie talked to wasn't BSing him about Patsos wanting the Siena job. There also is rumors he doesn't want to go to the Patriot league.
I agree with Greenblood.. pressure is on the admin 100%. They have to hit this one out of the ballpark. Most critical hire BY FAR in Siena basketball history!

Siena admin on the hotseat. Get it done or get out of town.

....... this is going to be a MAJOR test for the selection committee, D'Arg and Father Kevin. That's the problem, the same people who made the last selection will be making this one.

Well said Snaglpuss.
When will the trustees make sure that the incompetents who made the last disastrous decision stay out of this one.

Pastos is sending a bouqet of roses to Siena - wow. That was really obvious. I guess even the coaches know Mitch is toast and don't feel inhibited to lobby for the job while the corpse is still warm. The season is going to get a lot more interesting in a few more weeks. I like Pastos, but I would look at Paulsen and Toole first. The most true comment is the pressure is on the administration 100% to get this one right.

They also made the decision to hire Hewitt, Orr and Fran. They know what needs to be done, I believe if Mitch left with Fran for Iowa and the program was forced to go outside for a candidate then we would have a different scenario. I don't mind the admin (they have done more good then harm) I just can't stand Mitch, he has honestly made everything look bad in the program. Get rid of him and everything will look a lot better the admin, players and record. P.S. I still want Jimmy as the coach next year!

I don't think Orr was a good pick, he was only here one year so it is hard to judge. The other two I agree with. Regarding Patsos I would rather see him stay where he is.

I wasn't a big fan of Orrs either, but there's no arguing that he did good enough to get a BCS job out of his year here. As for Patsos, he's my choice. Paulsen is 100% a lateral move from Bucknell so I don't see it happening. Toole it's about a 80% lateral move. Both will be looking bigger than us. Patsos wants to be here, knows the league, and is a proven winner/recruiter. I'd just want him to add a NY/NJ guy that is really AAU connected.

I think Toole might need one more pit stop before going to a major conference ! While very talented and a great record...the only thing that stands out on his resume is the " Collegeinsider.com Tournament, quarterfinal round " ! And his team is 2nd right now in their conference !
