Nice to throw the hat in the ring with the Murray kid, but seems like his stock might soar out of our range rather quickly.
Curious about his history that he had basically no offers at the start of his senior year.

You don’t always get every player you want. If not Silver I’m sure the staff will move on and get another good one. Carm and company are hard working and involved with a lot of talented players.

The level of competition isn't the concern - it's the number of suitors who can promise more playing time, which is what Silver stated he values most. NJIT shouldn't have been competition, but they won out for Mekhi Gray because he could go there and be the man instead of sitting behind Pickett and Carey the next 2 years. Silver left E. Michigan specially for that reason.

No doubt it’ll get more competitive as time goes on.

Kobe Knox, 6’4” SG out of Tampa Catholic was apparently offered today. He is the younger brother of Kevin Knox of the Knicks.. reportedly only 160 lbs., so he need the weight room, but he had 28 and 25 points in recent games vs. Huntington PPrep and Lakewood, hitting multiple 3’s in each. Knox is apparently a recent qualifier with offers from North Florida and UNC Greensboro and interest from Oklahoma State.
At an event prior to the Iona game, Carm said that we are not recruiting against the MAAC but rather against the A10, theBig East and the level level Power 5 conferences. You have to love the approach.

This is great and we his staff can all recruit which gives us a greater geo footprint and more relationships. We end the season well and I see us a getting at least one impact kid in 21

You have to love the approach. Once you have a decent roster especially, you can afford to keep swinging for the fences. However, I've always been of the belief that a MAAC team should swing for the fences all the way up until the late period. I hate landing 1 dimensional players in the early period. HATE it. Khalil Richard is a great shooter but when we got him in September...I was not happy. He was not a PG...nor a defender...nor a rebounder. 6-3+ athletic/versatile guards rule basketball. The more you have, the better you are.

kk.But aren't you among those who say," What we need are some 3pt.shooters." Well if we go after those who are great defenders, ball handler, and rebounders as well. We will end up with nada. Duke, Kentucky etc get those guys. The mid majors don't except with some luck like getting Jalen who was a sleeper.
