Both DePaul and Georgetown have been in to see him over the last few days. Went for 46 and 8-9 from 3 a few days ago

DePaul has offered, as have North Texas, UNC-Greensboro and East Tennessee State.

Probably a reach but doesn't hurt to give the kid an offer.

Tariq Silver has added offers from Missouri State and Louisiana Monroe. Great...the odds of landing him keep getting more difficult. I'm shocked no high-majors have been on him with that elite 3 point shooting.

I think it’ll boil down to how much playing time he thinks is available, doubt he goes anywhere to sit or become a secondary option. I’m sure Carm can sell him on Siena but the big question is will he buy in?

If they put the press on they are in great shape and their staff is well connected with the JUCO scene.

They’re young and staff is in their 2nd season so things may improve, Ford did a nice job recruiting but historically he’s been a perennial sub 500 coach. Sure with each program getting involved our chances get slimmer. All you can do is offer, sell and wait. We’ll always have contingencies in the event he goes elsewhere.

I'm shocked no high-majors have been on him with that elite 3 point shooting. It's not like it's Louisville or Kansas. Competition is fine, Carm and team have shown they can pull in some talent and beat out competitors to do it (e.g. Gary Harris). It's not something we are used to, so I understand the concern.

I'd love to get Tariq Silver but I'm not holding my breath. He's too proven of a shooter for this time of year...he's athletic and shot well in D1 and now ridiculously well at JUCO. Just too many suitors for a guard who is not local.
Siena is just some random school in the northeast to this kid. My guess is we end up getting someone else.

Probably the case, but you have to get your name out there and try. Name recognition is important. Some of these programs might remember Siena being at an event or offering a former player and pick up the phone for an under-recruited talent. Who knows? For the first time in forever (seems like it), I feel when the coaching staff makes someone a prime target, they have a legit shot of landing them. It's a numbers games too, you will miss more than you hit. There are only so many spots on your team to fill and a bunch of schools looking to fill spots.
