Well your logic is impeccable and I hope it is accurate.

One thing you guys haven't address either is Mitch has one year left on his contract. He will be a lame duck. No way Siena would allow him to enter a year without anything left on his contract. How would he recruit? And you think Siena will add years to his contract off his third straight losing season?
Tony's right unless Siena wants to basically become SPC and move into the ARC (It's ALL about the money so that's not happening) Mitch is history-- and will be so officially in 6 weeks.

All I can say is that I sure hope Tony and MTS are right because another year of Mitch ball and I have to look elsewhere for my college basketball.
I am already following the Siena women's program more than before and watching Iowa whenever they are on TV.
I just watched you tube with that great video of the 08-09 glory days, WOW!!!! What a difference from Mitch ball.

Now, we seem to "know" it is a done deal, but do we really? Does D'Argenio believe he sees improvement in the play recently? That is what really matters. Until the call is made can we really be sure? Let’s settle this right here and now I guess no one knows 100%- but I can say unless Siena wants to de emphasize basketball – cut the budget , move back to the Arc become St peters- redo the 5 year plan—Mitch MUST go. Attendance is plummeting. Siena is getting 1000- to 1500 no show season ticket holders a game- if attendance continues to dwindle- next to go will be corporate sponsors- who wants to be associated with a losing program or product? Saints alive donations are dropping and will continue to free fall as many of the premium seat holders do not renew( as many as 30% of them aren’t showing up anyway) I had one premium seat holder ( who has 4 tickets) tell me he can’t even give his tickets away In short Mitch has soooooooooooo alienated the fanbase- no way Siena can bring him back without altering their long range plans for division one basketball and their commitment to it Its over Bill—Mitch B is not coming back period I sit in a 16-seat suite for the games, and if we're lucky, there's 2 other people in there with me. 3 years ago we had to ask friends who "stopped by" to leave the box because it was so full. That says it all.

Some say I hate Mitch. I say I hate the people who hired him. They are the true idiots and should have ZERO say in the next hire. Hell, drawing names bingo style would work just as well

How about Rossiter and Clarence in favor of the hire. Do you disavow their contributions to the 3 year run?

You have to do what is right for the program ... PERIOD. What were they going to do? transfer?

exactly, those players are long gone.... you listen to what they have to say, but don't throw that much weight into it. and what he hell would Mitch do next year anyway w/o a big man to feed it to?? he has had OD or RR his 1st 3 years to run his "offense".... next year, would be a disaster.... well, a continued disaster.
