Oh, and I should say I am the type of fan that I believe Siena needs. I am not an alum, I am a fan "off the street" - someone who got interested in Siena because I love basketball and Siena was a good mid-major program. I have had season tickets for over 15 years. Come watch a UA game, it's a pretty nice product right now. Well coached, solid team even if it isn't packed with crazy athletes.

Would be like asking a Raiders fan to join the Patriots bandwagon. I'd rather be water boarded and then shot. No matter how much my teams piss me off I'll never quit rooting for them (spending money is a different thing) it's in my DNA.

I’ve been a Siena fan for near 40 years, I have no issue attending a few UA games I also attend HS games. UAs a pretty entertaining product right now. I like basketball.

Well, given that I live 2000 miles away, I consider myself an 8 or so. Times change. I still read everything I can on them but it is typically from Twitter rather than the TU website. I watch every game I can but some are on tape because kids/family/life gets in the way. Haven't see them live since 2012 and wasn't going to every game then (because I had young kids).
The one thing that has changed is time spent on these boards. It is way down.

I grew up fairly nearby in Hoosick Falls, and my late Dad was an alum. He started bringing me to games as a kid the year the ARC opened. I saw guys like Dinny Cahill and Gary Holle play prior to the jump to D1, and I was hooked, not only on Siena Indians hoops, but the school itself, and eventually became a Siena grad myself. I even roomed with three players one year at Lakeshore. So I have a deep emotional tie that will never be broken. I'm a person who has a deep sense of loyalty to anyone or anything important to me, which sometimes is not always a good thing. Case in point, of course, is the current state of the Siena program. I'm loving life when we're on top, I suffer when we lose. I also always try to look for the good in people and situations, so I am always hopeful our coaching staff figures it out, we get the recruits we need, and we win games. Of course, the reality of our situation makes things very difficult for me. In addition, I must root from afar, because I live in Olean. I do go to games when we play at Bona, Canisius, Niagara, and even drove three hours to Bucknell this season, but I don't get back to Albany often, so I rarely see Siena home games. I don't know then, how I rate as a Siena fan...definitely a die-hard, but losing a point for not getting to home games. I just want the best for the program, whatever that takes.

Do you truly believe that anyone on this board wants less than the best for the program. You may not agree with everyone's position but that doesn't make them wanting bad stuff to happen to Siena, does it?

It only matters how good a fan you are for three days in March. in our case it's probably more accurate to say "... for up to four days in March." Or more likely—- one day.

. I saw the team play at their place without a season ticket lol. Just purchased a ticket to the one game, like I would do for any other game.,,Either you are kidding yourself or easily duped. If it was all about the Siena game you would have just dumped the rest of the tickets. No, it was just a nice excuse for you to watch quality capital region hoop for a change. Lets start with YOU going to a game that was on TV. I call bullshit. And yes, I was duped by the attraction of UA basketball. Their "fanbase" had been waiting for us to come to their gym for years. I was so sure us Siena fans would only get access to a few hundred tickets, that I went for the $100 season ticket. I even bought 4. I think I did go to one l other game on their schedule because a friend was on the opposing staff. So you got me gorvenius, I'm a UA fan that wanted to see good basketball. I would have gladly given you tickets to any of the other 10 or so games they played that year since that is your real team. . Calling me a liar and other names? (Points for originality though). I win, you lose. Ps, can’t wait until Friday, Greenville versus Hudson in girls basketball. Road trip!

Think Union College grads/fans go to RPI games and foot on the Engineers? To have a better year than them? Lol. You're not a true Siena fan of you root for UA. Is anyone out here that naive to think Clickclack has gone to a Siena game and rooted for us to win? Well if you think that, you must think Yankee fans root for the Red Sox in their spare time.

I actually root for UA when they aren't playing Siena! Remember, I am a basketball fan, not a hater!!

Where do you get these half assed childish ideas of how things should or shouldn’t be, seriously? I go to UA to watch a few good games, I’m not sitting there with purple and gold Pom Poms leading the cheer section. I’m a Sox fan guess where I go occasionally to see a few games - Yankee Stadium. I’m a Celtics fan, guess where I’ve caught games? Oh nooooooo not the Garden, yup sorry been there too. Bills fan, yup been to Gillette. I don’t live by your myopic silly childish self imposed rules. Grow up. It’s ok. I can assure you it’s fun to be an adult.
