Does the NIT ever pick two mid-majors from the same conference?

There are about 80 teams who would make the NIT before Siena.

Cbi is possibly but if they do go they should play at arc. Keep building the student base.

Already confirmed via tweets Siena's season is over which is absolutely the right decision.

Season over. Four kids college careers over. They played hard tonight. Proud of them. They did Siena basketball right this weekend.

Jimmy Patsos said it's unlikely. Don't believe Siena administration is interested. Low turnout/poor play last year. Mark SingelaisVerified account @marksingelais 10h10 hours ago
Jimmy Patsos said it's "probably doubtful" Siena would play in the CBI or CIT. Saints are eligible for CIT by finishing at .500 (17-17).It's the right thing...we just lost a brutal MAAC championship game at home a few points away from an NCAA bid. With four seniors...who cares end the season now. CBI/CIT is a waste of time this year.

In presser after game Patsos said this year's team goals were NCAAs or NIT ... last year team checked out of post season play so don't think Siena will pony up the entry fee again

So nobody would sign up for a rematch with Albany in the CIT? I don't understand why you would turn down a CIT bid if offered. Obviously paying to host a game in the CBI is very different and I can understand not wanting to go that route again.

With four seniors this year was all about the NCAA or NIT... Period. I don't care if we finished second and went 23-11 I would not want to play in these events. Next year maybe a different story with no seniors.
