I don’t know, some of the old timers can answer that question, but it appears to be least appealing home schedule in a long time maybe since mid 80’s. Considering we have a senior dominated team expected to be good, home schedule is a “dud” Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Bucknell, Cornell and Vermont. Looks like Vermont is "highlight" of home schedule.
Avg RPI of non conf home games teams is 214- Add in 4 or 5 duds we get in MAAC- and I'd say Jimmy did a poor job taking care of 'fans"

It's all part of .... "Ze plan, ze plan!" - cue tower bell - ding,dong,ding,dong....... The only RPI sports story of any significance to this area next year will be about a local hockey team...... I think the performance bar, set by MTS, of 20 or 21 wins is the target and not 20+ wins with a strong RPI to get us a decent seed....hmmmmm... can any of the old timers name a recent coach that knew how to maximize the benefit of a strong senior class? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)

The home schedule is weak no question - disappointing with a senior laden team. Last year it was pretty good with Hofstra and St. Bonaventure leading the way two very good teams.
Looking back the last time it was this weak was probably Paul Hewitt's last year - Siena hosted Davidson (not the same Davidson pre Curry) Hartford, Bethune-Cookman, Colgate and the "highlight" was a 5-25 Rhode Island team from the A10.
I expect Siena to dominate these games..that's what the focus should be on now.

I said the OVERALL schedule was not bad but the home part of it leaves a lot to be desired. But Cornell beat us two straight and Vermont six in a row I just want to end those streaks. This team should be outstanding. Just win the games and the rest will take care of itself. I'd love to see St. Joe's, George Washington, Providence etc come to the TUC in the future (as they have in the past) that's something Jimmy needs to work on. Hofstra and St. Bonaventure come back next year I believe.

Revenge games Cornell, Vermont and Saints only squeaked by Bucknell.. Some local people on this Board don't even go to home games. .After team beats Kansas they'll say they never miss a game.

Get back to me when they beat Kansas- No getting around fact home portion of non-conference schedule is horrible. I really have no problem with schedule like that in rebuilding years. But in a year when you are expected to be MAAC contender that schedule especially the home portion is an embarrassment. I should add Darg is just as guilty letting Jimmy get away with a home schedule like that

Again, not unexpected. You have to take the "ok" with the bad with this program.

Off base. Gorvy has been a true, season ticket-buying fan for a long time. Fact is that the home schedule for the coming season sucks, especially when you consider the ticket prices we pay.

I'm glad you are having a lot of fun turning Siena into Loyola north. When do you sign your next contract extension? Can't wait. Ps please keep the pizzas coming, that really helps.

He has? where were his seats last year? I never said the schedule was good. It was good last year, and now we have to go on the road to repay those games. That's how it works. Bigger schools hate coming here. I'd still settle for a big name and a 2-for-1....if we can get it. Problem is, Duke, Wisconsin and Kansas wont come here.
