keep in mind the problems Fran had getting ANY teams to play us in 2010. Sure, on paper we'er loaded. Opposing teams, especially the lower tier big boys see the same paper. If there was ever a year to beat a mid-lower BCS school at home, this is it. We'll never get the top tier so mid-lower is the only option. Even the upper mid majors wouldn't want to risk it. Scheduling is easier said than done.

Calling these teams scheduled at the TU mids is a stretch more like low majors. I get it ... you're not getting Syracuse and NC in the door but how about scheduling 2 solid Mid Majors. I'd be ok with Vt and Bucknell if we had scheduled 2 games from a CAA or MVC or a mid teir A10 team.

Kansas not such an impossibility. Didn't Saints team with the Fab 3 but not as much depth as current team lose by single digits out there? No I'm not I S who I hope is alive and well.

Sounds like a perfect season at home this year. OOC is weak and Siena is the class of the MAAC.

Yup- you're right. I still remember watching that game thinking we'd be the first non conference opponent in awhile to beat Kansas on their own floor. espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/recap?gameId=290062305

That's exactly the problem with this schedule way too many low majors. Nobody expects high majors coming in. But plenty of mid majors will. It is type schedule even if we win MAAC you are looking at 15 seed( low major territory) Jimmy has never really scheduled well, so I think this will be a ongoing problem. He seems to like these 4 game tournaments that puts Siena in low major bracket.. So apparently I need to rethink what Siena is-- and perhaps Darg should as well and charge accordingly

I'm not defending the schedule but that's exactly the schedule we had last year (Hofstra, St. Bonaventure). Like HJ said both of those games now have to be returned. It's just that they both are road games this year and Bucknell/Cornell happen to be home games. The game that makes no sense is Arkansas Pine-Bluff which was that result of another "quirky" tournament. Don't mind playing Bucknell/Vermont because they win a lot of games and help the RPI. But we should be trying to play more of the teams we have in the past for home and home (GW, UMass, Buffalo, St. Joe's etc). Also need to try and get better balance so they're all not at home or on the road in one season. But the bottom line is just win the games!

When these contracts were drawn up for home and home you're telling me they didn't know what the home schedule would look like this year (with senior dominated team) ? C'mon!

Bad schedule equates to lower attendance resulting in less income for Siena, the TUC, the County and local business. That gets noticed quickly and pressure will most likely get applied to Siena to step it up

No spinning it, was poor planning by Jimmy and Darg-- Not sure if Jimmy gets us in low major portion of these tournaments to try and get a few wins—or its just “lazy scheduling” and I think next year we get 3 road games, to have UA at home

Just saw Ark P-B is also now playing GW. So that must be an Under Armour influenced game?!
**Note--Monmouth just released their home schedule this year: Drexel, Cornell, Army and Princeton
Road--North Carolina, Syracuse, Memphis, South Carolina and Holy Cross. Guess how many of them are returning games to the shore?? Maybe that's the way we should do it?
