Thanks for the update. Glad someone still follows TU for us. Not sure how you do it better than I.

The article isn't very positive. I just don't like how JP reasons. It seems like losing is taken casually. Just my take.
Winning games doesn't get harder as the season goes on. You just take one game at a time. I like JP, but the attitude isn't consistent with winning IMO.

and when you complain all the time how tired your team is....the kids have a built in excuse. The same kids who grew up on AAU tourneys with many games on a weekend.

JP has been doing this long enough and knows what to say after each loss. He can't say guys weren't ready and not prepared or throw guys under the bus for a bad game. He knows you can't win them all. If anyone thinks the players think its an excuse when he comments on short rest, you're nuts. Wins and losses are decided on the court and by the players not the coach.

Why does the coach show up for the game then? Or maybe he should just regress and get back in the stands with the rest of the crowd.

He did that once and it didn't work out to well for him - got a lot of Sports Center coverage!

It just took him a while to figure out how to win.

Supposedly the King is leaving after this year. I still think he'd be crazy to not wait one more year.

Personally, I am really ready for JP to focus on FIVE things and those five thins only: Recruiting: Top Talent & Quality Individuals at the positions needed Player Development Game/Bench Coaching Development of a challenging schedule every year possible Promoting: Promote our program (not Gary Williams, Under Armor, Brian Cashman, etc.) I say again Promote our program and you could find yourself at MD or another high profile job in 4-5 years. All the rest is just noise in my book and I am ready for way more substance, less noise. Go Saints!!!
