most of us don't have much knowledge as to when there are and what time are open practices in any given season. I for one would love to come to open sessions. Could we have some individuals that are "in the know" give out days and times so that anyone interested in supporting our boys come October, could come? I'm curious, how often did Jimmy have open practices last year? Is there one particular day of the week or what?

Got in to see them today.
These kids are playing hard already. Definitely fighting for PT. Patio doesn't want the team resting on the nominal success of last year.
-Wright is looking strong with the ball. -Cole will definitely be an addition to the team. -Poole sat out with a rolled ankle -Bisping and Brandwijk were battling hard. Brandwijk had some freshman mistakes but held his own. He does get up and to the rim. -Silas looked like silas. Good defense and invisible on O. -Oliver was playing with the confidence and poise we saw in the CBI. -Hymes was causing problems as he was using his size and speed defensively -disappointing was Wolfe. No real discernable change -white is playing under control and with confidence -Paige is physically impressive. One built kid. Perhaps the most on the team. A few mistakes but is going to contribute sooner than later. -long continues to improve. Still had some bone headed fouls. Tough for anyone to guard. -ogunyemi looked more comfortable -Gottfried looked like a walk on most of the time. Did have a really good rebound in traffic at one point.
Again the kids were really playing hard. Coaches were into these kids about not taking it lightly. Patsos was so into it he even scolded us fans at one point

Thanks SF.
I know it was only one viewed practice buy here's another reason for possibly RSing Wolfe. Give him time to develope. Again, assuming he'll agree to RSing.

Wolfe has improved and knows more about what is going on than the freshmen with the year under his belt. He just didnt have a very good practice today. He is a lttle bigger and stronger. Paige has a college ready body like Lavon and White came in with. He will have to loose the baby fat and build up his man muscles like they did. But like those two he has alot to work with. White and Lavon have toned their mass up nicely. I expect Paige to do the same over the course of the season. I love the way Dan builds the body. He breaks the guys down then builds them up slowly and efficiently. It is taking Wolfe so long because he cant gain weight. He is so young and long yet extremely athletic. They are helping the guys gain or lose the weight over time so it sticks. Be patient with Wolfe he is going to be something special. A 6'9 athletic shooter with a decent handle that can play 3-5 for Siena. #CaintWait

You cant teach height he just needs the body and strength. He has skills

Jimmy's practices are fun to watch- he works the kids hard.. and heaven forbid the kid that isn't working hard, he will feel Jimmy's wrath
Saintsfan gave a good run down of players today- we will be deep this year for sure

I would like to ask the question again. Is there a schedule when practices are open or maybe someone to contact to find out?

He has skills I agree the problem is... 21 will be a year or two late. Redshirt this kid for his own good... either that or send him to a camp or trainer each off season to develop him into a 3

He's already athletic. I mentioned in old posts that I could see him being a 3 similar to Eddie. Just needs to build muscle & gain experience at the 3. Plus from what I 'm reading of people's opinions is that he's down on the depth chart, all the more reason to save his eligibility. It's not that I don't like Wolfe, I do. I just hate to loose out on possible a third productive yr. I'm assuming he'll have two very productive yrs (Jr. & Sr yrs). With an additional year off we might be able to squeak out three.

Wolfe will graduate in the 4 years at the very least. He will be a very attractive post grad transfer at a BCS school if he redshirts this year.
If Kentucky can have future NBA draft picks on the bench for 2 years without redshirting them...why cant we have future all MAAC players sit for 2 years then break out?

Yeah I don't see the point in red-shirting him. All that does is allow him to become a "free-agent" after he graduates (Siena has only one post-graduate program I believe). See what you can get out of him this year and next year he'll have two seasons left to contribute. The depth Jimmy has built up is outstanding. A few guys won't be happy with their PT but that's a good problems to have with a lot of quality players. If a kid with Wolfe's athletic ability is your 12 or 13 man you've got a pretty good team. Wolfe could end up like a James Clinton on Paul Hewitt's Siena teams. A talented athletic guy who was only a role player but still a nice contributor on some really good teams. Jimmy has built the roster quite nicely and it looks to get better next year with Wormley, Fisher and potentially another recruit should another spot open up.

If Wolfe ever got his physical and defensive games together he'd play over everyone. He's just so athletic and has so much ball skill for his size.
Time is running out for him to put it all together. Could be another Davis Martens situation where he finally figures it all out with 5 games left in his career. I waited so long for Martens to get his shot.
