I used to enjoy reading the back and forth here. Now that SF and MP have shown their true underlying hatered for people who don't agree with them I liken them to Muslims. No life lost is to be celebrated, especially not because of a political affiliation. What I exposed is my hatred for those that want everything their way or no way...refuse to compromise. The tea party and it's members are the biggest joke ever seen in politics. Draw your line in the sand then toss a rope over a tree limb and check your collar size. I liken tea partiers to 4yr olds. My way.. or tantrum

That whole "Liberty" should go away in your America - do I have this right? If not please clarify. By the way never forget this: Who's really for freedom and equal opportunity...

Sad that you and the right, once again demonstrate the complete lack of any sense of humor or understanding of the use of overstatement. I don't hate people that disagree with me, I welcome the discourse. Unfortunately the right facing posters on this board don't like the discourse - they throw their darts and then go look for another rather than answer the points made by the other side. Totally intolerant or ignorant or both. On the other hand you will have to admit, even privately, that several of the right facing posters absolutely hate our current President solely because his views are different from their own. So I guess they are Muslim-like as well. (I would agree with that characterization as I see the Tea Party as an infant stage Taliban in this country!) This is pure lunacy. MP preaching tolerance is like Mike Tyson teaching pit bulls not to bite. Again 9-0 Supreme Court twice pushed back on Obama for abusing his power. Sorry but you got at least 4 flaming libs and a flip flopper and they were unanimous! That should tell you something.

Sorry but you got at least 4 flaming libs and a flip flopper and they were unanimous! That should tell you something. True, the SC said the three (3) recess appointments to the NLRB were not valid since the senate was not constitutionaly in recess. No one is disputing that. You fail to address the blatant exposed obstructionism involved in this case. The Senate confirmed the three appointees - so, in reality, no crime was committed and no unsavory characters were appointed by our President. He tested the Constitution by interpreting the pro forma "recess" declared and supported only by the Republican obstructionists. Wow - perhaps the death penalty should have been considered. Obama has made only 36 or so recess appointments during his 6 years in office and three of them were turned over by the SC. The President was doing his job by trying to fill three very important slots on the NLRB. Bush made hundreds of recess appointments. Like I said, you guys hate our President solely because you disagree with him. You fail to address ANY and ALL questions for specifics as to what you would do to reduce government. You are blind to the Republican/Tea Party advertised and continued policy of obstructing any and all actions put forth by this Administration. They are thwarting, in a purely mean spirited way, any and all progress by this ELECTED administration. I seriously doubt that any of the Republican/Tea Party members in Congress would have gotten elected if they had honestly campaigned with a platform of "I will vote down any and all actions recommended by our President!"

Two of the central beliefs of the Tea Party and Libertarians are limited government and personal freedom. Since you attack them regularly as wackos and uncompromising and cheered the death of of a Tea Partier to start this thread I am not sure what I made up. Oh well, it doesn't really matter anyway because you either have no self awareness when it comes to your true political beliefs or you are a hater who also makes shit up as he goes and lies to agitate in these discussions...

He is clueless why do you even bother. These morons called the tea party a bunch of racists, not realizing that many minority candidates were and are supported by this group.

I never called the tea patiers racists.
And I dont give a shit what cute little words you veil your political aspirations with. I am not even against the words describing beliefs of many of them. I am however vehemently against the approaches taken. It has done enormous damage and cost billions... if not trillions.
That is what you arent understanding. The words you choose to describe yourself (I.e. words tea partiers use to describe themselves) arent always the same words observers will use to describe you. The "my way or no way" approach is bullshit and if that offends you... I honestly don't care.

However, Republican candidates have to respect and reach out to the grass root movement or tea party people. If they don't they might loose. The perfect example of this was in Virginia. Cantor and his allies had become the face of the “establishment” wing, on the wrong side of at least three defining internal fights that inflamed the GOP’s most passionate activists— exactly the kinds of people most likely to show up and vote in a primary.

I've referred to the Tea Party Whackos using many terms but racist is not one of them.
th24 hit the nail on the head when he posted the obvious - current incumbent Republicans are afraid of the Tea Party and, as a consequence, aquiesce to what the Tea Party demands vice doing the things their constituents need. The President is often criticized by these right wing whackos as not being a leader (pure BS IMO) while they behave like sheep being led by a few very, very wealthy morons who want to control the country.
The President, through his use of Executive Orders (a use that pales in comparison with his immediate predecessor's numbers), has been accused of the new great sin - over reaching! With the Tea Party's insistence on House maintained obstructionism, the only way many of our problems can be remedied is through the constitutionally allowed use of Executive Orders. The right just keeps saying "no" while never identifying any of their own ideas for remedial actions. The President is then accused of not acting when any of the problems mushroom into more major concerns - immigration reform is a great example of that. The Senate passed an immigration package ONE YEAR AGO with strong bi-partisan support and the Tea Party controlled House refuses to a) put the Senate bill up for an up or down vote, b) make any changes to the bill that will move the solution of the immigration problem along, or c) pass a bill of their own, all the while screaming for action! Now Boner Boehner says they may vote on the Senate's bill after the mid-term. Talk about chicken shit "leaders"!

It's his way or no way as he has said on many occasions and continues to say as he did as early as yesterday. For the record, I am not affiliated with any party. I do however support the tea party's platform. People like MP do not know where we can cut, they want an ever expanding government and tax base. The status quo isn't good enough, their desire for bigger government and higher taxes is insatiable.

Show me where I have ever advocated or recommended an expanded government. You have no clue what to cut (I keep asking you for specifics and you consistently ignore the question) but you go on and on with your "views" that cuts are needed. Your puppet master Tea Party whackos have no specifics either..... I do not want bigger government or higher taxes. FYI, I had an opportunity to review a fairly recent tax form where the very rich individual had a gross income of $190K with only $40K in deductions (property taxes) and he ended up paying only $10K in federal taxes - that's the big issue - the rich don't pay their fair share OR ANYTHING CLOSE TO IT! The guy's income was primarily capital gains - 10% tax rate. I'm retired and in the 22% bracket and pay more gross taxes than that guy. Is that fair? That's the Republican tax base.

The status quo isn't good enough, their desire for bigger government and higher taxes is insatiable. i dont agree with any side doing it... but honestly with the approach the Republicans (driven by tea party backers)have taken since the day this President took office to oppose and obstruct at each and every step is absolute bull shit. I will be against any Democrat doing so either... but at this point it seems to be the status quo from our government... lose an election ... become the biggest dick possible by preventing any action whatsoever by the opposing side. and regarding cutting government i do fall in the group that believes you cant just start cutting social programs until a) the playing field is leveled for the middle class and poor and b) the tax evasion/avoidance by the wealthy and corporate world is addressed. I dont have the answers to that and freely admit it but they are two of the biggest problems plaguing this country. As the corporate world saw fit to outsource to cheap labor it has come at a fatal expense to the middle class and poor.

Your party opposes the flat tax, that would solve this problem. Your party raised the marginal tax rates which hurt the middle class the most. The example you have made makes me sick and I agree that it is ridiculous, but folks that run businesses and don't have capital gains are giving close to 50 percent of thier income to the government when you consider fed, state and self employment taxes. This of course doesn't include employee payroll taxs and other taxes such as property, school tax etc. if those are included, it is well over 50 percent.
