Ummmm. Have you read everyone else's very negative posts about this game? I will never say anything negative about a player. That is a promise. Can you say the same? I think you are right about them coming out flat. The Q game may have killed their morale.

Lighten up horn blower. My post had a double meaning I wasn't reflecting anything toward you bigsaintg. It certainly was intended to address this wonderfully positive fan, Saratoga. SS, you can say whatever you want about how you're not negative toward the players. That in no way helps deflect the venomous and outrageous remarks you make about our coach. Get a life! Have a nice evening, I have to take my wife out to dinner.

Excellent Post Greenblood! Many posters are ready to tar and feather anyone who is willing to speak the truth about what is going on. Wins make people feel good so they don't criticize. This past week's coaching and recruiting was awful. I want to believe in Jimmy like everyone else, but sometimes he dodges difficult questions and speaks over the fans. He hasn't addressed how he intends to coach this fouling problem. He never justified the Cam Gottfried scholarship. I'm sure that he doesn't want to be or feel that he is accountable to the fans. Poole commits that stupid foul in the lst 20+ seconds of the Quinnipiac game which opened the door to a loss in OT, and then comes back in the next game to take only two shots. A very bad sign, if he is your best player. Where is the coaching! We all want and many of desperately need Jimmy to succeed. With all the resources Siena has we should never have 4 straight losing years in the MAAC. Why would the A-10 want to pick us up? All good points. I don't mean to sound like one of the people tar & feathering anyone who speaks out about the Team, their play, coaches coaching of lack there of. I'm going to be a Siena fan long after these players & coaches are gone. I was still a huge Siena fan when Beyer, Orr, Lanier & Mitch were coaching (probably a bigger fan vocally at the games than the people wanted me to be - since they were in a bad mood for the poor teams/coaching) as I was for Deane, Hewitt, Fran & Jimmy. I don't mind the complaining, but I don't understand what good complaining about something we don't have any control over. Seems to be a total waste of energy that could be put to better use cheering the team and coaches on during the games. None of us can singularly or as a group change Jimmy's way of coaching; unless we give Hugh sums of money to the school, get on board and make changes that wee see fit. We're stuck with him until he gets Siena winning and is snatched up by the Bigs or he fails and gets fired. I for one hope for the first than the latter. I'm going along for the ride and will continue to support the players, coaches and other fans, as I know each one of you are going to do too. Again, I get the frustration with the inconsistent play, coaching, intensity level at time, etc., but the only thing I can control was cheering them on last night until my voice went (which unfortunately I've abused too much in the past and get hoarse sooner each game). There are other equally damning posts my misspeactice Have a nice dinner. She is a lucky woman.

SS, where are you going with that post? I am being singled out as the only poster who has said negative things about Jimmy's coaching. I have just been around it longer than most here. Go back and read recent posts. They are MOSTLY very negative. I will never criticize a player but when your "350k salary relies on 18 year olds" then you are fair game. He is supposed to be a role model. So far that isn't working out so well. After being ejected he dissed the ref twice in the post game interview. That is an NCAA violation, unprofessional and down right stupid. Let's hope the ref is more mature and doesn't come gunning for us for the rest of JP's tenure at Siena.

My confusion part was why you picked my quote of another when responding to music man or Misspractice. Unless you thought I was critizing players or coaches, which I didn't think I was.

I'm guessing you are a bitter Loyola fan posting from Virginia. Maybe I'm wrong

I was too lazy to find a better example. But I do think your post was pretty critical in a positive way. As for MTS I like the jilted girlfriend scenario better. Makes for sexy dreams. NOT.

Why would any coah "belittle" his team BEFORE the game? I would believe your story if it was at halftime. That happens all the time, but before the game? Not likely. I guess then that you don't have a lot of experience with coaches. Believe me it happens. Nope, never been in a locker room or huddle in my life

Or maybe you were too busy ogling the cheerleaders. Get real. Not all coaches know how to motivate players or they think their tirades are motivation themselves. Have u ever been in a jimmy pregame speech? By the way. Jimmy was a barely adequate player himself. Barely. And he had one of the best motivating coaches ever.

By the way. Jimmy was a barely adequate player himself. Good, the worse the player, the better the coach is a pretty accurate rule. Best NBA players that tries to coach were HORRIBLE. Being blesssed by God athletically doesn't mean that man can convey how to play the game. Same goes for college coaches. Most were average, below average players. Saying Jimmy couldn't "play" just further shows you've got a beef with him. Whatever it is, no one out here cares. He's the guy that was chosen to bring the program back from the dead, and I'm still sure he'll do it.

Let's hope so. I have all the faith in the world. Just make sure the Saint Bernard keg is filled with brandy.

I don't think anyone is singling out ss based on his negative posts. Rather people seem to be responding to his "unique" perspective as a non-Siena fan who has a deep seated hatred for Patsos. If KK were still here he might be able to get to the bottom of this. Perhaps it stems from being beat out for minutes by Patsos at Catholic U. Whatever it is it still seems to hurt after all these years. ;-)

Maybe ss is a former Patsos player or assistant who has an insider's perspective . . . and a long memory

Until he elaborates it's best to ignore. We know what we got with JP.
