Does anyone know whether 15 3pt shots made by Iona was a record for a Siena opponent ... Hard to believe they made 50 pct of them when so many taken were at NBA distance

I firmly believe Siena wins the game if Wright doesn't FO of the game. 100% agree. The turning point of the game. I knew we were screwed when Marquis fouled out. Most valuable player on our team by far.

On a serious note, while anything can happen, I think Iona has too many weapons and 3pt shooters for Siena this year. Plus looking at the stats they shoot and score better at home than on the road, though going 50% again from three might not happen. Will be interesting who coach starts for this game. Big and try to pound inside or small and try to press.

Siena May not win, but I can't wait until the culture has changed and Siena is expected to beat an average mid major like Iona. I mean, we were up 4 points with 7 min to go when our one pg fouls out. They had to shoot 15 threes at a 50% clip to beat us. It is not out of the realm of possibility that Siena can win these types of games, but until they do, there will be more nonbelievers out there, and who can blame them....

You have a real attitude, why are you always trying to start a fight? Did you watch the game? It was a serious question. Why are your knickers in a twist? IMHO Wright staying in the game probably was not going to affect the outcome, Iona shot lights out from 3. When we play down there we will most likely get beat by more than we did at the TU for various reasons. We played pretty well Sunday it's tough to overcome a team when they're shooting like that..... we're playing well for what we have but there are parts missing!

We will win these games once we get more talent and depth. You're right Iona had to shoot the hell out of the ball to hold us off. To me that's a sign of a well coached team that needs more ingredients. Remember Fran's (and Hewitt's) first season. Siena lost a bunch of games those years that they would go on to win in the following few seasons. Jimmy is changing the culture with team. I already believe that we have good coaching we just need to go out and get more horses in the barn to win games like that against a very good offensive team. Defense wins championships but offense wins games, in the regular season at least. It's not so much the X's and O's but the Jimmy and the Joe's - I know Jimmy is fine on the bench (certainly good enough) now we will see how good of a General Manager he is while it is pretty clear what our off-season needs are.

We can DEFINITELY beat Iona on the road. You guys are giving them wayyyyy too much credit because they shot out of their minds yesterday. They got crushed by Quinnipiac (down 22 at half),and beat FF by 9. The only game they shot better from 3 than against us was in their 118 pt game vs Niagara. They shot 14-26!! 40-62 for the game!!
Wright doesn't foul out, I think we win that game Sunday. As long as they shoot normal in New Ro, we'll be in th egame, because a lot of our main guys didn't play well.
They're 8-7 and didn't play as good a non-conference schedule as we did. This isn't the old Iona fellas. They shot like it yesterday, but that's been the exception for them, not the rule.
