We can DEFINITELY beat Iona on the road. You guys are giving them wayyyyy too much credit because they shot out of their minds yesterday. They got crushed by Quinnipiac (down 22 at half),and beat FF by 9. The only game they shot better from 3 than against us was in their 118 pt game vs Niagara. They shot 14-26!! 40-62 for the game!! Wright doesn't foul out, I think we win that game Sunday. As long as they shoot normal in New Ro, we'll be in th egame, because a lot of our main guys didn't play well. They're 8-7 and didn't play as good a non-conference schedule as we did. This isn't the old Iona fellas. They shot like it yesterday, but that's been the exception for them, not the rule. We can beat them -- it would be a upset. There was a pretty big talent differential between two teams. Siena is missing some pieces this year and you can say Iona isn't that good- they are 5-1 at home..we are 2-5 on road. Siena will be about a 10 point dog at Iona-- so to beat them would be a significant upset..Siena is a player or two and a year away from having a realistic shot of beating Iona-- we had our shot at home and Wright fouled out

I firmly believe Siena wins the game if Wright doesn't FO of the game. 100% agree. The turning point of the game. I knew we were screwed when Marquis fouled out. Most valuable player on our team by far. I also believe Siena would have won this game if Wright didn't foul out. No knock or blame on Wright, just my opinion the the momentum had changed - the crowd was into it - ClueLess knew it and was calling TOs. With Wright in the game the last 7 mins we don't score just 9 but rather 15 or more and maybe don't give up the 22.

You have a real attitude, why are you always trying to start a fight? Did you watch the game? It was a serious question. Why are your knickers in a twist? IMHO Wright staying in the game probably was not going to affect the outcome, Iona shot lights out from 3. When we play down there we will most likely get beat by more than we did at the TU for various reasons. We played pretty well Sunday it's tough to overcome a team when they're shooting like that..... we're playing well for what we have but there are parts missing! That's funny, I was at the game too and IMHO Wright staying in the game with the tied turned Siena was on its way to winning this one, at home with the crowd getting into it. Don't forget Wright also plays pretty good defense, so my question is would Iona have scored 22 in last 7 mins? I would hope not. Would Siena have scored more than 9? I would have bet money on it. We had already out score them by 14 to that point.

We made a run could we gave sustained it for another 7 min maybe or maybe not .......

In answer to the question that started this thread - Canisius made 15 of 26 3's vs Siena in December - Saints made only 1 of 9.

White is shooting .457 fg% and .737 ft% since the Florida trip. He did have 3 games of limited minutes going 0-3 over that stretch but overall i think he is beginning to come around. Take out those three limited games and hes over .500. He is grabbing 4 boards a game to go along with his better shooting.

I like the fact that he can attack the rim, we need more of that. Hopefully the knee issue is not an issue on Sunday.

Buffalo Butt already answered rhis question with his link to the Iona game in MSG. No, Iona made 17 that night. Without looking for any other games, the answer is No, 15 3s is not a Siena opponent record.

Regardless, with Wright I say we win this game, without Wright Siena was in a possission to win since they were only down 1 maybe 2 possessions with 1 - 2 mins to go in game. That's close eniught to win it. It's obvious they didn't, but my point was Siena almost win this without Wright in the game. Again, I'm a glass half full Siena fan and not a glass half empty fan.

Glad your an optimist but it's still an L in the loss column. That's reality. Facts, we played well but not well enough to win, they shot lights out. You give up close to 90, you don't win many of those.....

I remember a game at the ARC against Niagara, I think, a kid on their team hit 12 3ptrs...which was a national record for quite awhile.

Gary Bossert of NU hit 12-15 trifecta's at the ARC......................in fact he hit his first 11 in a row, still an NCAA record for consecutive shots at that distance...............................was there to see it live, an amazing shooting display to say the least.............for Siena, their team record for conversions is 18 three balls in a game, cannot quite remember the opponent though..........and individually that goes to Jim Secretarski who hit 9 in a game !!!!!!!!!!!!!
