I have lost all respect for Obama-he lashes out at the ONE network that is willing to consistently challenge his policies and record.

Glen, you tell me - did FOX ever report that Chris Stevens (Benghazi) had refused additional security? MP did you read the 85 pg bipartisan report? Did you see the video above? Did you think the president was evasive? You are just a team player. Hopefully you didn't have too many children that you indoctrinated into the philosophy of morons. Stop putting up the strawman argument and admit that you are a recalcitrant lib that won't change his mind. I have read your posts, all of them, you are a condescending liberal with an elitist attitude. Your not interested in the truth, just validation of your beliefs, something that, ironically, you accused others of. You are a joke. Your party and philosophy is contingent upon fooling the most ignorant among us, and that is why the democrats and liberals have been successful. Keep up the fight. As misguided as it is. So are you ready to admit you are a democrat? A liberal? A socialist? A moron? See what I mean you guys don't want to own what you are. Be a man for for goodness sake.

Better an a-hole than moron with no objectivity or integrity. You still haven't admitted you are a liberal you fool. Fringe lunatic? My values and beliefs have never been extreme in my mind. You are a fool, I could ram the truth down your throat and you wouldn't believe it. Enough with the lies. No one is buying it. A party of demagogues, you fit in perfectly. I have to say, I actually respect SF and his positions, I disagree with him, but at least he is honest. You on the other hand are a not.

I've NEVER heard that Stevens refused security. If that was the case it adds a whole bunch of additional questions. Funny that Sec. Clinton never mentioned that while being grilled by Congress. That consulate had been requesting increased security since a bombing in June.
If you have a link I'll read it.

MP - interesting article. I hadn't seen that. I've inquired of some friends of mine with toes in the foreign policy waters. Here's what they said - basically the diplomats don't like the military...or at least find them to be too aggressive. Hamm's inquiry was probably batted back because Steven's felt he'd be relinquishing control of the consulate to Africom. That said, he still wanted more security. The diplomatic teams prefer private security since they have direct control of them.

Hamm's inquiry was probably batted back because Steven's felt he'd be relinquishing control of the consulate to Africom. That said, he still wanted more security. The diplomatic teams prefer private security since they have direct control of them. My nephew works at the State Department in DC (he had done stints overseas) and pretty much backs up what your friend told you. What most don't realize is there were two facilities in Benghazi, the consulate that was attacked and a highly classified CIA back street facility that was more heavily guarded. The CIA facility, due to its nature had significantly more security but couldn't respond quickly due to fears they would be next. The ambassadors typically like to keep the guns hidden and the security forces out of sight - our armed forces, even in street clothes, aren't appreciated in the Middle East no matter who they are protecting. The area was already a tinder box and none of it was related to the 911 anniversary. The "coincidental" timing with the anti-Islam video in other adjacent countries could not, at the outset, be discounted as a possible cause. In fact, it looked quite likely as the cause for a day or two. Not quick enough for the Republicans who smelled blood in the water. Funny when you think about it - all of Obama's security actions are carryovers with minimal changes from what Bush put in place. The availability of funding can also be tied, in one degree or another, to Republican intransigence over budget increases. As you noted, the preference is private security and that requires additional subcontracted funds that are much harder to come by - Congress is at fault (both sides) and the State Department for not putting funds in the budget. My biggest beef with the Republicans was their instant efforts to turn this into a political event. What, as Hillary so eloquently stated, difference did it make how you labeled the attackers? If they had said Terrorists and/or Al Quaeda (which technical they were not - the Benghazi raid was conducted by in-country local radicals that only some have said were loosely tied to AQ) what would the Republicans want to happen - would they have expected a Code Red warning and our airports closed? They were creamin' in their shorts from purely a political point of view. They somehow see those killed there as being worth more than the troops we lose weekly or monthly in Afghanistan? It is sad that now every two years (election cycles) we find politics to be totally in control and level headed problem solving creative thinking is pushed aside - BY BOTH SIDES.

Excellent article and not at odds with any of my beliefs or recollections of the events and the political reactions at that time. Thanks.

Great video, I like Kristen she is a lib but she's honest, more than I can say for MP. When men like George will and Charles krauthammer speak you listen, unless you are some closed minded lib like MP. Obama's Super Bowl interview with oreilly was telling. We have a president that only party loyalists like MP appreciate. Hopefully as independents grow, we can be rid of fools like MP and our president. The truth is of no concern to these people.

Your welcome, did you read the 85 pg report, is that consistent with your views as well? And please indentify yourself like everyone else has. Are you a lib? Be proud own it. Are you a coward? I know so. You are like that sneaky bastard Piers Morgan. You probably think that's a compliment. Or like wasserman Shultz. Another lib you probably adore.
