I was really confused as to why no PG last 3 mins... Hymes wasn't hurt, he was 1st off the bench to support the team every dead ball.

Damn...great effort... 8 point lead with 6 1/2 left I thought we were a couple makes and a couple minutes of winning.
There are no moral victories but had we held on this would have been about as big as non-conference road win for Siena in a long time (beyond the Fran era). This is basically the same LaSalle team that went to the sweet 16 last year minus Ramon Galloway. LaSalle is a real good team top 3-4 club in the A10... this game is at the TUC we probably win. The foul situation is killing us... and the 5-6 droughts without scoring. Jimmy said we need another guy to step up and score with Poole.
Rob Poole had a great game...as did Lavon and JO. Hymes played pretty in control.
On to St. Bonaventure we bring the same focus and I think we win at home.
Side note: Jimmy was on the postgame with the General and Tom? I've never heard at head coach come on right after.

He's not a point guard, either. And Duren was lighting him up down the stretch. Duren lights everybody up. he does but Duren e scored 10 straight point on Hymes-- ( and that was the ball game as they say) that is the problem with Evan.. he gave us some good BB tonight- but when things got tight-- he made some bad decisions and his non existent defense cost us

He's not a point guard, either. And Duren was lighting him up down the stretch. Duren lights everybody up. He's not a 2G either..... We need a dependable goto scorer & Ill say it again we need to find a long athletic wing w/ a good stroke and another PG. We have a lot of very good pieces. No reason JP can't recruit at a higher level

Fun game to watch ... Siena's offense was getting them good shots for the first 35 minutes. an 8-0 run in about a minute of playing time killed them. Some things to work off of ... on to the Bonnies.
One thing I loved ... Poole blocking that last shot.

We've played 3 teams who won 21+ games last year and return most of their team. Duren is one of the best PGs we will face all year. The team just had 18 assists vs. 11 TOs and lost by just 4 at LaSalle.
Let's keep things in perspective. This was a good game by almost everybody.

Good effort today. Missed some easy shots- make those, and this game could have turned out differently.
Let's beat up our sister next game!

I think we do have it perspective..Evan probably had his best game to date un der Jimmy .. But he had some defensive lapses at a bad time-- you asked what happened to Hymes..Jimmy has said all along if you dont play defense you dont play -- and its not all on Hymes-- for the most part a lot of positives to take out of this game. I kind of liked the big line up with Lavon at the 3, it creates mis matches for Saints- but Siena has to take advantage of it. I'm feeling good about a win on Tuesday vs the bonnies

I dont like a 5 7 2 guard especially when your pg who is LISTED at 6' (NOT) is on the floor, that back court is just too small. You get killed on D. Hell I'm not even crazy about Hymes running the backup point but he's the only option this year. JP will be recruiting another PG

Ok, once again, I don't want to defend Hymes but Wright fouled out. Wright was also getting beat and in bad position. He came in and threw that one shot over the backboard and he allows teams to back off him...yet no one gets on him.
Hymes and Wright complement each other. We don't have an all-around stud PG. Deal with it.
We do, however, have two guys who both do some really good things.
