A little Flashback Friday video. Pretty sure this has been posted before, but I never get tired of seeing Alex at work. I only wish the short video had evidence of one of the many times he abused other players off the dribble in his senior year. Forgot how good Franklin was with the left hand. Three more inches and he'd have made the NBA like his cousin.

Not only were they built alike--- and left handed. lets hope Lavon can score and rebound like Haddix, for a guy who ( supposedly) struggled to score on simple put backs ( Haddix is 9th on all time scoring list with 1594 points) and he must have really padded his rebound stats with those 800 plus rebounds ( 6th all time at Siena) and considering he shot close to 50% from the floor-- thats a pretty darn good career for a guy who couldn't dunk. Damn some of you guys just cant help yourself how true, AND if Haddix did not miss a bunch of games due to injuries.................he had a real chance of finishing at # 3 on the all-time scoring list, and close to 1,000 rebounds!!!!!!! side note.................Alex is simply more explosive than Lavon, he was a power play in every sense of the word, hid dunks were thunderous..............but Lavon has ability to knock down jumpers which we never really saw Franklin do that much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tony, I get your point. Haddix's numbers are great. Again, I don't see the comparison everyone seems to get between Lavin & Haddix. I get the fact (based on the posts) people may not have cared for how I appeared to "put down" Haddix. My bad, he was a very good player. Greengold4ever, yes Haddix's #'s would have been higher had he not gotten injured & played the same # of games as Alex. However, let's also give Alex the credit of posting the numbers he did while playing 4 years along side Eddie & Ron, 3 years w/Kenny, Rossiter, Clarence (more balanced scoring teams). I realize Haddix played 1 yr w/some of these guys & Antoin, Prosper, Tommie, & the great players that transferred Jack Mc & Al F. But I still don't see how having great numbers for a career shows how a current player (Lavon) is similar to a prior (Haddix) unless we're comparing skill sets or I guess in this case only physical size & being left handed.

I agree greengold4ever. Hope Lavon (not Lavin as I posted above) has a career like either Haddix or Alex. I just see more of a comparison with Alex at this point in Lavon's career at Siena.
I hate typing on my phone because I seem to make too many spelling errors or accidentally select the wrong word the software is thinking that I'm trying to spell, coupled with my fat fingers & small keypad.

I have no doubt Lavon is going to be a star. Lets hope his supporting cast resembles the other pieces of that puzzle and can duplicate a portion of their success.

No one player is bigger than the team. That is why we had the NCAA run. They played like a team; some came with more talent than others and some worked harder than others but NO ONE was a supporting cast member on those teams. Just my 2 cents.

Agree greenblood. I don't really want to jump into the debate but I was always shocked at franklins numbers. He was the quietest saint superstar I have known. Yeah he had some monstrous plays. But at the end of the day I would more often than not say wow look at all he did!

Yep. sorry if my post came across differently to you. In describing anyone on the team I would have used that term "supporting cast" as their teammate, not to place LL's star above the rest. It's clear to see by looking at the recently posted footage that teamwork was exactly the mindset that led to those teams success.

Gory you reminded me of another comparison between Lavon & Alex , both on the quiet side.

Alex was a quiet leader. He kept us in more games than I can remember. Ubiles hits some shots to win some of those games and it seemed like everyone praised him and gave him most of the credit. If it wasn't for Alex we wouldn't have been in a position to win those games and ubiles's shots would have been pointless. It's a team sport and team players like Alex are priceless. If lavon is like Alex we got a winner for sure.

If we can just come together as a team like the big 4 of the past, we could start some new great memories.

lot of Lavon Long talk on this forum. Are there any other players on this team? Nice input in a thread discussing lavon. Maybe you missed the other threads dedicated to Poole and Wolfe. There's also been a lot of discussion about white, hymes, wright and Javion in other threads. I don't see what your point here is. Lavon is a talented young player who I for one am extremely excited to see grow as a Siena player. He is a stat stuffer who does the little things like take charges and hustles.

Redrum is one of the posters who has an issue with PPC from past experience. I think that is the primary reason this poster joined. This latest post from this troll confirms my opinion, as it is nothing but bait. Just a waste of space on this board.
