60 pts, shitty foul shooting and a loss to an AE team....sounds a lot like Mitch!!! Couldn't agree with you more. We're in for a long year. Relax, there will be adjustments made and things will get better. If you're going to write the season off after one game your crazy. Jimmy coached more in this game than the last regime did in 3 seasons. It will get better.

60 pts, shitty foul shooting and a loss to an AE team....sounds a lot like Mitch!!! That's not fair. This is team relying heavily on freshmen and they came out strong. But then the offense sputtered. They'll be good in time. The free throw shooting does have to improve though. I swear Albany didn't miss one. They were great from the line. This is definitely not Mitch ball. Just need some experience to go with the talent in place. The freshmen looked awesome, I will say they have a lot of upside. I was a supporter of the Jimmy hire buuut the only non freshmen that should start or see major minutes is Poole and only after Under Armor supplies him with new sneakers!

Siena showed a ton of talent but also a ton of youth. They also showed that the team is going to have to run A LOT more practice with White and Long as focal points and let guys like Poole and to a much lesser extent hymes be role players

First of all, you can't judge by just one game. I like the combo of White and Hymes. There will be days when Hymes is lighting it up from the perimeter. He had a bad game but the half court offense stalled big time and he forced things. We know he's not a great defensive player but who else can frickin' shoot? KK-- this is the problem.. this isn't the 1`st time I have seen team. I understand its your first time. Hymes will play..mainly because we have no choice. I'm sure he will have better games than tonight, and in games where he can match up, I'm sure Jimmy will play him. In the half court we need to play our best offensive players- run more sets for Lavon.. he is a load down low and can shoot. White is tough match up, JO is our best offensive center. ( Silas had a good game) Poole is Poole- offense noticeably bogged down when Hymes( I think only shot he hit was a bull shit bank shot 3 pointer) Oliver ( another player that got beat bad in man to man D) I think Jimmy needs to establish Lavon and JO down low, it will open up more shots for Hymes and Poole IF Siena is going to be primarily a man to man defense team- HYmes- Oliver- Bisping will struggle all year, all 3 are not good man defenders..and in Hymes and Bisping case they are downright horrible Don't give me "1st time I've seen the team" talk down. White didn't show me anything I didn't already know about him. I just expected him to defer a bit more early. At least 3 of his 3 pointers were the most open 3 pointers the team had all night. His shooting is the EXACT reason I've had the opinion I've had. Like it or not, we need Hymes involved for his shooting and ballhandling. Oliver I think just defers too much. White should get most of his minutes just for his intensity. But we need some shooting out there...somehow. Wright isn't a shooter. White I don't think is either. That means in most lineups you have 4 iffy 3 pt shooters and Poole? Ugh.

Anyway- From my seats 10 feet from the floor I saw the game much differently than KK-- many positives The freshmen can all really play. Mo White reminds me a lot of Scoop Jordan( more than head band) and both from Bmore area..same type game. The problem I see for some of the Mitch holdovers-- in Jimmy's man to man no place to hide, in a zone you can hide a player. Man to man you will get exposed..and Siena was exposed several times with certain players. Overall I would have liked to see a W-- Siena is definitely more talented than UA-- but to UA's credit they didn't get down when Siena got up big, and my biggest fear I posted before game came to pass- if it came down to a foul shooting contest Siena would lose that war

White showed a lot of his upside and I was impressed. I didn't expect so much aggression so quick but let's be fair. I don't think he made a single jump shot. They call it "shooting guard" for a reason. The offense they ran didnt call for jump shots from white and he actually bailed the team out over and over. If you have any concern outside of hymes being junk it should be Poole. Kid fell on his face how many times? Hymes is responsible for a number of siena players in foul trouble because he needed help like every defensive possession. And that was against AE guards. ogunyemi picked up two because of him Seeing the freshman should make it clear just how bad mitch left this team with "talent" What was wrong with Pooles feet? He kept falling all second half...

I gave you the talk down because you are way off base.If you play man to man-- you must defend your position-- Hymes was beat like a drum tonight-- what part of that dont you understand? Hymes shot 1-4 ( a banked in 3 pointer) 2 turnovers and played defense like a CYO player. in fact in 36 min combined Hymnes- Oliver and Bisping shot 1-7.. and all 3 players got burned consistently on defense.

The lack of defense by Hymes and Oliver hurt the bigs. We need JO in there more and IMoh needs to use baby hook rather than throw it out once in a while. He boarded well. We need the ball more in Lavons hands. We will only get better but must run more

Bisping had 4 boards, 1 blk, and 1 of the team's 2 steals in 13 mins.
He didn't have that bad of a game. He got caught out of position on the one play.

Bisping played much better when Jimmy went to zone-- trust me he stunk in man to man- he was consistently beat off dribble- he is very slow a foot. Brett can give us some min-- he can never be the focus of the offense or taking 3 like you like to say - he missed from flour- he missed from 3 and he missed front end of one and one. And was abused in man to man defense other than that he had a good game
