blog.timesunion.com/collegesports/ualbany-says-its-the-underdog-vs-siena/16338/Brown cant help himself. He wants to do the coach-speak thing but closes with his true feelings because he cant help himself. " The way this team is built, we are big and physical,” Brown said. “But don’t mistake my team’s size and physicality for a lack of athleticism. If (Siena) wants to come out and press us and force the tempo, we will be fine. We have no problems playing at the tempo they want to play. If they want it to be a slugfest in a half court game, put on the boxing gloves, and let’s go.” He basically said siena has no chance

They're the most well rounded team in the country. Can run, and can fight like pit bulls. Why should we even show up?

Only chance Siena has is Brown's team has to travel so far for the game, play in front of more UA fans than they probably will all year - devastating

As people watch this go down they should remember that Siena may very well be the youngest team in the country. Fr Wright Fr Long Fr Ogunyemi Fr White Fr Wolfe So Oliver So Audu Jr Hymes Jr Poole Jr Silas Is the rotation with Silas possibly seeing 8th 9th man minutes. Sometimes seeing it written like this makes it clearer

I say it ever year, some of you here don't really follow college basketball, it gets younger every year. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find more teams younger than Siena.

The difference is, Kentucky loses its players to the NBA, while Siena has lost them to DIvision II.

I'm hoping/expecting that this year plays out similar to Fran's 2nd year when he had Ron, Edwin and Alex join the team. We'll see. I'm pretty confident this game is going to be tight. I don't see either side winning a lopsided contest. I do think Siena wins tonight. Let's Go Saints!

UA is definitely the favorite with all the experience they have back. If they don't win tonight, it's a total embarassment for Brown.

Kentucky has a Senior, another read shirt Senior (5th year player) and 3 Juniors. They do start 3 freshman and 2 sophomores... of note about those guys... the three freshman are 19 years old. the two sophomores are 20. that is kind of interesting to me because Wolfe is 17, the other rookies I believe are 18. Playerparentcoach might share with us how old Lavon is. Just because kids at the BCS schools might be listed as freshman you might want to dig deeper. Ive found that often at Kentucky and other similar they are older and wind up playing 23 - 24 yr old seniors. That year or two does make a huge difference. I was like Wolfe... i started college at 17

And Siena has Silas and Oliver, who were prep guys and old for their class. Since the start of the Mitch era, Siena no longer lists player ages, so none of us can be 100% certain, that's true.

The difference is, Kentucky loses its players to the NBA, while Siena has lost them to DIvision II. Oh, absolutely. But compared to the teams they compete with, they are still young. Siena, I think you would find, is not that young compared to their opponents. It's an argument we always have. Some people like to mix youth with talent. All of college basketball is younger than some of us older folks remember it.

My guess is Siena is gonna struggle some in the first half and may end it down due to UA's experience. But then, in the 2nd half, Jimmy's conditioning regimine turns the tide. Hopefully, it will be enough to win.

Hopefully, it will be enough to win. I've seen Browns practice...he runs the hell out of the conditioning drills 'till borderline exhaustion. Not sure how many of you have seen his practices...the condition is the least of my concerns for tonight.
