......of Green Tech commits to LIU-Brooklyn. No surprise with Wright locked in for 4 years at the point.

Our next chance is 2015 when the seniors graduate...no one is being forced out to bring in a 2014 just as a couple of us said

Fran ran into the same problem. Although he did have Basabe and Allen coming that following season to go along with Poole Burdine and one more year of Rossiter/Jackson. Patsos could find himself in a tougher position although out of necessity with the shambles Mitch left things. I guess we should know more about who will work out and who may take time to develop etc in the not so distant future. My one concern at least for two years is indeed recruiting.

I agree however I think the one big advantage Patsos will have over Fran will be the new facilities when they are completed. Between having an elite practice facility and arena it may be enough to make a recruit overlook a lack of immediate playing time

I hope people aren't upset we lost a kid to an NEC team. If he's going to the NEC that means there's probably a thousand other guards as good as him.

My point is as it's always been. Players coming out of the Albany area always seem to be propped up to be at least 1 level better than they actually are. The competition players face on a normal basis will generally not be as good as if they were playing in or around a bigger city.
Sometimes kid's make the leap, like Jimmer & Battle etc, but most times kids just don't meet the hype they're getting. They may put up 30 pts with ease in upstate NY but so do most D1 players in highschool. It seems to me that guys like Hood, Buie, and many other athletic guards from the area make their pts on volume and by just being more athletic than the competition. When they go up a level, they're efficiency actually matters and they're lost.

I don't wanna take Mitchs spot..... Please, you took the same wait and see stance with Mitch I did. But I also questioned his recruiting in the months before MB1 and got chastised for my negativity. After things went bad I mainly just fought to keep the negativity cloud from overtaking everyone so we didn't lose out on recruits as things went sour. I did have some hope for last year with the experience but Mitch had no idea how to use his players and Brookins' didn't help.

Indeed they nail that point home along with the line that their pg loves to pass..I think he leads the league in assists...they run every chance they get

I bet another reason why he went to Brooklyn is he gets to experience the city - he probably knows most of the capital district anyway at this point in his life. A man has to explore, right?
But I do agree capital district players are not inferior to other competition in other cities. The Capital District has produced some good players over the past twenty years or so.
