Nice argument, except you are the only one who said anything about the NBA. But then, actually, Ubiles DID make it, which apparently you forgot. Burdine would be in a better place now if he played the 2/3. Franklin may have been a better free throw shooter and certainly would have a better assist/turnover ratio if he practiced/played more on the wing instead of down low. Burdine was called a 1-3 when Fran recruited him. Fran said Alex played a lot of point in high school. You don't think practicing and playing somewhere else stunted their growth? Oh really? What team does Ubiles play for? Listen, some people also said Anosike was a SF when he was recruited. Once you start playing the games, things change. Lavon can play the SF, sure. Is his profile & development better if he does? I just don't know. I think he can showcase himself more as a mismatch in the MAAC. Too skilled for PFs but strong and athletic enough to play there. At the SF, in order for him to be a true mismatch he has to prove that he can either shoot well enough or create efficiently enough. One or the other. I'll be happy to have him play there even more then. However, as a team we give up some of that uptempo ability he gives us. That versatility he gives us at the 4 makes the entire team better than putting another big there and slowing us down. If Fran, Fairfield, and Cluess have showed us anything, it's that you need versality at the 4 in this league if you want to run. When I first saw highlights of Lavon last summer, I thought now that's a guy who can get a team to the dance...but it wasn't really because he was playing SF. It was because he singlehandely turns any team he plays for into a running team by playing the 4 and wreaking havoc.. Nobody argued your point that the team needs him at the 4. That was the case with the others before him, too. That doesn't mean it's what is best for the player, which is what PPC was talking about and I agree with her. You just said "I just don't know", which I guess none of us do, but that's better than attacking someone because they have a different opinion than you.

I challenge you to show me where I attacked you. Now it sounds like we're arguing over semantics again. I just think being a star on a winning team is better than maybe being a star on a team that may or may not be a winning team.

KK you will see like everyone else that Lavon helps the team more doing all that he does rather than stuck as a undersized 4....he can spell any position on the floor and will play the 4 ...he mins there will be dictated by how well the 4s and 5s do....I am cheering for Silas, JO, Bisping, Wolfe, and Hopper to take care of the middle so Lavon wont have to....then in spots when the team goes small Lavon will play the 4 just like Patsos said....the 3 should be his primary position then move around where needed...

2 weeks into the pre-season its Lavon all day? Seriously? Is this a preview for the entire Saints season? Is everyone cool with this direction? Obviously, some of us are not and those numbers appear to be slowly growing as this tune wanes on through each thread. The predictability of every thread highlighting Lavon's attributes is getting old very fast.

It's just so easy to fire up a conversation on this topic.

I'm going to be honest here, I really did enjoy reading and contributing to post here but this all Lavon all the time has got to stop. Every thread goes back to or leads to Lavon. Lavon this, Lavon that. .... My heads going to explode! PPC get a life and stop lliviing through your kid. I'm sure Lavon is mortified about what you put him through with these endless posts. If you were my mother I would be embarrassed. Please stop for his sake, as well as his teammates. Trust me this will cause trouble.
There are other kids on this team.
Please just let Lavon play & let JP coach. He'll play whatever position coach feels provides us the best chance to be competitive. So stop with agenda.
As season tix holder, alumni & long time fan I am looking forward to seeing Lavon and the rest of this freshman class have a long successful run at Siena.

I disagree with her stance on needing to play SF but this is an exaggeration. What about about all the threads arguing about the roles of all the other players? Hymes, JO, Oliver, Bisping, etc.. Lavon has really been in the background recently. I know because I procrastinate A LOT and was heavily involved in most of those. I think people are actually starting to get an agenda towards PPC when she has an opinion they don't agree with. Like instigating a ruckus with White. That's just uncalled for.

I can assure both of you Lavon is not mortified by anything....as I said before He does not do social media...that's what I do....please judge yourself

As season tix holder, alumni & long time fan I am looking forward to seeing Lavon and the rest of this freshman class have a long successful run at Siena. Sorry, but I don't agree with this at all. PPC is doing nothing embarrasing. There have been whole threads on Wright and Hymes among others here of late. The MAAC board had like a 40 page thread on Oliver when he was recruited. I didn't see you complaining about those. Fact is we discuss almost every key player ad naseum every season. We don't need you to decide for the rest of us who should be discussed and who should not. I'll decide that for myself and simply opt out of reading what does not interest me. I for one immensely enjoy the exchanges with PPC - one of the few posters on here who actually played Div. 1 ball and thus knows what she's talking about more than most whether I agree with her or not. If you don't appreciate her posts you are certainly entittled to your option - but keep said opinion to yourself and simply opt out of reading the posts you object to. It's definitely over the top for you to attempt to dictate what anyone else posts about.

The MAAC board had like a 40 page thread on Oliver when he was recruited. Umm, the small thread was 43 pages. The big thread was 62. 105 total in just the 2 with his name in the title. Still a record thank you very much.

I'm curious why all that discussion about that one player didn't bother him to the extent that he would feel compelled to speak up as he did here. Whining is a little more tolerable if it's at least consistent and evenly applied. But hypocrisy is never tolerable.

People here complained constantly about PPC when Lavon was recruited and committed to Loyola, about how over the top she is in pushing him on these sites. Most changed their tune when he came to Siena, some did not.

Because his family didn't come on here and discuss him nonstop. Mom is over the top and her opinions on other players should be kept to herself.
