Sink or swim with Wright from Day1. No easing in, it will disrupt the flow in the future. Might as well acclimate everyone to his style right from the get go. Lets hope Wright is Brown, Bennerman or Moore 2.0. The days of Brown and Bennerman were very special. Great times.

Mr. White can play some point guard. That is not true PPC just a bit of advice I think you can comment on your son all you want but when you start having and voicing your opinions in a public forum regarding your sons teammates its going to eventually blow up in your face. Not really a good idea IMHO. Not to mention the awkward position it puts Lavon in.

I have been joining in on all types of conversations about the players for some time now and always appreciated the healthy debate and the fact that no one would through Lavon in my face...this would be the first time....I have watched White play since he was in middle school....I really dont feel as though my comment was negative at all...he is a tough defender and that is why he was recruited to play at Loyola ...Lavon has nothing to do with my Opinion on that...like I said before they dont know each other yet...please dont make this into more than it is....Patsos is the head of that ship...I am on the outside offering support....I do not want any drama....I enjoyed my 4 years and want Lavon to do the same

I agree with Sienafan on not starting an all freshman backcout, but I am not sure Patsos is going to have a choice with Hymes's injury. I know they said 6 weeks-- under Mitch you have to take the time estimate and multiply it by 3 or so -- 18 weeks. We will see if Patsos makes a difference in this area....

I know they said 6 weeks-- under Mitch you have to take the time estimate and multiply it by 3 or so -- 18 weeks. We will see if Patsos makes a difference in this area.... The 3-6 week prognosis on Hymes' hand is based on the assumption it's just the 5th metacarpal with minimal displacement/angulation, known commonly as Boxer's Fracture because punching something hard is how it most often happens. The worst case scenario is 7 weeks if it's the shaft of the metacarpal - and there's more time than that before the season starts. So Hymes will be fine with time to spare by the start of the season. But if for some freakish reason Hymes is not ready to go, Oliver would most likely get the start over White. Or Patsos shifts Poole to the 2 and starts Long at the 3. You need 3 point shooting at the 2 position and White is not really a shooter.

Maurice White can score.

I agree with this....White has the ability to score in bunches...When practice starts for him he will have his chance to prove his worth...he is a wild card to the fans right now....I know they will love his energy and toughness...you know how it goes ....not the first time he has had to prove himself...White and Lavon are simular in that they were not the hyped in the area but always end up being the most valuable on the team because of their ability to change the game on the defensive end...White does not get credit for his ability to score and Lavon does not get credit for his skills....in college ball you have to fit in on both sides of the ball so the truth comes out...the pieces are put together to win games....Maurice and Lavon will make their biggest impact on the defensive end and that is what will dictate their minutes and position...not how much either one can score IMOP based on the structure of this team

I dont feel that Hymes really is a legit 30 threat. I think he was when he had an absolute green light and the focus of team was little to nothing. Hymes will be perfect for a double digit threat in a backup role. Defensively he is a liability. Offensively... a tad selfish in its pure definition. Hymes really doesnt make others around him better... which is key at the point.

Step your game up rich audu Rich Audu is not the answer. He is a mediocre Div I player at best. Why do you think its ok to make this kinds of irresponsible comments about Audu? Why do you find it so easy to call him out in this fashion? Maybe because he doesn't have a Mom or Dad on the boards here defending him? we all should show some maturity and display sef-restraint when we talk about these players!

Primetime, you didn't see my follow-up post. You're right, I shouldn't have wrote that about Audu. He has the potential to be a good MAAC player. However, in my opinion, he does not have the upside of Hymes or White. Finally, the feelings about Lavon Long on this board are based on his ability and nothing else. He has the potential to be an All-MAAC player. I'll leave it at that.
