Then implies time, than is a comparative.

I didn't intend to be so critical of Audu's game, but he is not someone that could break down an opponent off the dribble or run an offense. He's a decent two guard off the bench.

Hymes was an excellent option as a backup pg and a Tay type player used to provide a spark. He is way too small, not durable and can not endure the rigors of a 20+ minute game night in and out during the season. If JP is smart he uses him in those two spots if he doesn't Hymes will break down.
Wright is going to be excellent but we really could use another PG on this team ( and contrary to what some think here it's not Long) I have a feeling we will be recruiting another PG in the not to distant future.
Can't wait to see what White and Cole have to offer.

As some have alluded to, 3-6 weeks isn't horrible. I hope it is not more. We need everyone for this team to be successful.

Patsos disagrees with you and today we found out that Poole could do it....I will agree that Patsos would rather not put Lavon at the pg ...that is the last option...but Patsos the coach said Lavon can play 1-4 for him...really dont understand why a few of you refuse to accept that....Patsos makes the decision here not me or anyone else has any say...your Opinion is not the reality

Hopefully Hymes doesn't miss too many games- short in stature or not he is one of our best proven scorers- He dropped off slightly in last years disaster season but I think he will thrive in new environment

That's just the nature of these types of boards though, right? It's all just voicing of opinion. I think Lavon is a unique talent at this level due to his versatility and strength, and we are lucky to have him. I have no doubt that Lavon CAN play the point at times, but that partially squanders his most valuable assets as a finisher and rebounder in the paint; areas in which he clearly excels.

But isn't it nice to know we have a 6'6" guy who could do that in a pinch when it could mean the diff between a win and a loss?

What position was Hymes playing? The bigger concern is losing a back-up point guard. I agree...but what I said was rich audu step your game up. Just want to see him suceed if given a chance. Many people are not high on him and I get it..not a good handle, plays wild, unorthodox shot, turns it over at times. What he hs shown is great athleticism with speed, quickness, hops and strength all combined. He is tough and plays hard, especially on defense and rebounding for a guard. You cant teach those things, I think he has the potential to be a quality role player if he can play offense under control and improves his handle. He is just a soph. Want to see him step it up this trip in Hymes absence...he did tonight
