Siena has always been a program recruiting student athletes ... Win at all costs is not the Siena way ... Most recruits leave with a diploma

Wright's key stats thru 3 games:
FGs = 14-40 = 35% 3pt = 2-8 = 25% FTs = 14-20 = 70%
3 steals per game 13 assists, 12 turnovers = 1.083 ratio
-I would expect the assist ratio to improve continually. -I love that the steals per game are translating up a level. This pace would put him at around 90 steals per year. (He had 106 last year.) -I think his FT% is about right now. -His FG% might climb above 40% but his 3 pt % is also probably about right for this year.

Considering Chavaughn Lewis was the only player in the MAAC to average 2 steals per game last year this would be pretty amazing.

JP has given the keys to the car to Wright. He did the same thing with RJ at Loyola. Started him from day one and let him be the catalyst of the team. White will be like Dilon forming one of the best backcourts in the MAAC.

Not many full time starters only play 20-25. They play 28-32, which is why there is only a 8-9 player rotation. I'd be shocked if a healthy Wright averaged less than 31 minutes.

Green, So. from Niagara 6’3” 195 lbs played 37.97 minutes per game ranked #5 in the country.
Number 1 was Atkins Jr. from Notre Dame 6’2” 182 lbs played 38.29 minutes per game.
The first freshmen ranked was , Chambers FR. From Harvard 6’0” 170 lbs played 37.83 minutes per game. There were only 4 freshmen players ranked in the top 100
Anosike played 37.06 minutes per game Poole played 35.07 minutes per game Hymes played 33.7 minutes per game
The way we walked the ball up the court the last three years, if you can't play 40 minutes, you shouldn't be playing basketball...lol

ok it will be interesting to see how it all pans out....he has been producing with the minutes he gets and proven to be in shape and durable right off the back....I love his game...have great respect for real pass first pgs that defend...4 years of that makes things a lot easier in a rebuilding process

I agree PPC, there is nothing like a point guard that makes a great pass and gets everyone involved. But when that PG can pass and shoot, that makes it more impressive. Siena had a few of those players in its history! And hopefully we have one in training. Go Saints!

On this team, I'd say Wright and Poole are almost guaranteed 30+ if healthy.

I said it a while a go and ill say it again this kid has Ronald Moore like qualities. Like Moore, playing early will only make him better sooner.
I also think the White kid is going to give us a boost at the 2 spot. He has a D1 body already and I'm liking what I'm hearing about him being a lock down type defender.
We need toughness. I think a healthy Hymes providing support as a back up 1 and a spark off the bench is the way to go. Might as well go young early!

Was it just me or was Audu and Oliver unable to handle the ball last year. I remember both of them looking pretty bad w/ the ball in their hands. Not a great trait for a guard.

Can you really think of anyone who did look pretty good with the ball in their hands last season in that absurd excuse for an offense they ran? As far as I'm concerned this season everyone has a clean slate under Patsos (with the exception of Hopper who clearly simply isn't a Div. 1 player). Let's see how each of these players do under a coach who knows what he's doing. The team as a whole already looks miles better by virtue of the fact that it can actually score points.
