For a basketball school. Not so fast. Big win for the men's lacrosse team over #10 ranked Albany. Won 10-9. First win over a top 10 team in program history.

Not a lacrosse fan but anytime Siena beats UA it's a good win regardless of the sport!
Well done, guys!

One is still suffering from a concussion, has missed the last 3 or 4 games.
The other missed the game due to the birth of his child.

Losing record...not good...especially when people on here constantly state that their athletic program is not as good as Siena's...not biased to either, but the stats don't lie

Losing record...not good...especially when people on here constantly state that their athletic program is not as good as Siena's...not biased to either, but the stats don't lie This has never been said here. The most frequent comment made by posters on this board has been that the results in any sport other than men's basketball is meaningless. I defy you to find a post where someone says the Siena athletic program is better than Albany's.

What's been said is that the basketball programs aren't comparable. Siena fans only get pumped up when the 1% UA fans blah, blahs about their superior EVERYTHING, and then we beat them in a sport they feel like their "special" in.

As coach Patsos has alluded to in many interviews...a rising tide raises all ships! Nice win for Siena lacrosse and the athletic department!

Nice win for Siena, depleted UA team or not! I know this post was made tongue-in-cheek, but Loyola are the defending national champs in lacrosse. It is undoubtedly a lax school first & foremost. Siena is more akin to a pesky mid-major thatearns a 15-16 seed in the lacrosse world. A few NCAA births in the past few years, but no noise made in the tournament yet.

A team is not depleted when they are down two offensive players. They are a top 10 team, some depth should be expected and losing to Siena in lacrosse, even down a couple of players, is an embarrassment of the highest order.

UAlbany's two best players were out of the game....great game and win regardless.... in all fairness, UA beat Siena in hoop this past season..........but Saints were depleted as well, not much talent and a terrible coach, can't get much more depleted than that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
