Wow, I'm gobsmacked. Another close loss. The stench is making me clench. Clean house from top to bottom. Need accountability. The mom and pop way of running things needs to change. Congrats Carmen, WORST SIENA RECORD EVAH!!

Unfortunately this isn't just a recruiting problem. True but it's where we are. Hard for some to come to grips with it but we are a failing program with a coach who still has two years left on his contract. The least he can do is fill all the scholarships, give himself a chance. It is inexcusable that all the scholarships are not filled.

other than the score differential...............the SAME issues with this team reared their ugly head last night, as it did all season.......... 1) poor ball handling with costly turnovers/poor decisions, not having a stable of competent guards is ridiculous 2) horrendous defense both collectively and individually, Carm continued to play man D with players unable to defend, this roster was better suited for playing mostly zone 3) head scratching substitution patterns by Carm, guys playing too many minutes which hurts their effectiveness, other guys not playing at all, weird combinations, it was a helter-skelter appraoch with really no thought put into 4) offensive scheme is non-existent, with essentially too many guys who can't "attack & finish", Carm never devised anything to get players good shots or at least put them in position to get better scoring opportunities just a brutal season, thankfully it is over.......... Have to add 5) no 3-pt threat, another 25% overall.

if you were waiting- NOW would be the time to send an email to the BOD and the president. I'm sending another -absolutely frosts me that no one at all sent back any acknowledgment of the first email I sent. It was detailed and respectful...we are both alumni, donors(family has 2 scholarships) and basketball supporters and have been since forever like many of you all. It is unfathomable to me that a formally worded email is completely ignored. It shows such a level of supercilious contempt that I am gobsmacked ... Just a quick retort like "we acknowledge your concerns and share your desire to continue Siena's success on and off the court...." or thank you for your input. The concerns of our alumni and supporters is important to us... or something like that but na-na-na nothing??? Sending another anyway.

Last possession and shot:
Saints needed 2 points to tie the game and get to OT. Should have been a drive to the basket. Not a wild off balance, jacked up 3. That summed up the entire season in 1 play.

D'Arg did write back to me.

Has Carm ever won a close game?
Only one that comes to mind was Pickett hitting a game winner in Poughkeepsie against Marist, but even that game shouldn't have been close
