How about getting rid of D'arg who must be making a fair amount because he has been there since Moses wore short pants and bring in an AD at slightly lower salary thus saving a few bucks, getting rid of Castagna and bringing in an asst at a lower salary saving a few more bucks, reassigning Carm to Spec Asst to ?? for the duration of his contract and if he leaves to take another position there is no buyout. Promote Wyche as interim with a slight increase in salary with understanding that it is a tryout and he will be evaluated on upgrade in performance and upgrade in scheduling of OOC games. Can it work?

Can it work? More than likely there is language in Carm's contract to prevent him from being re-assigned to anything but head coach of the men's basketball program. And even if there isn't, being the school that decides to re-assign their head coach in hopes that he will resign is not going to make you an appealing job for future candidates. But yeah, if there's a way to re-assign Carm as urinal cake manager at the MVP then I'm all for it.

There is no basketball reason for Carm to return. The decision is 100% what the school decides between a buyout/paying another coach vs lost season tickets/potentially paying MVP minimum attendance requirements, advertising revenue, and complete destruction of the brand. I hope the school takes the long-term view instead of the short-term.
Regardless, the person that absolutely needs to go is D’Arg. No idea what his contract language is, but he’s presided over the program’s complete failure over the last 14 years. That includes 3 or 4 straight bad coach hires (depending how you view Christian’s lone season), and a spotty track record prior to that as well. I do not expect to go undefeated or to the Final Four every year, but the school has been fine being mediocre, or worse, more often than not.

We're not lucky enough to get that like the Utah State women's coach the other day

The first person that should go is the one that only had to upload 4 highlight videos to YouTube all season long. That might save some money for the buyout.

In the past, hasn't Siena waited until the tournament is done to make any moves?

4-28, let that sink in. If he’s back I rode off into the sunset never to look back at this program we all love and support. I can’t sit back and watch this go on. He needs to be relieved of his duties.

He needs to be relieved of his duties. we are in a 4-34 stretch, let that sink in................he professes to get the team back to where they belong (2010 last time the school danced).............what are the odds he can do a 180 and get a reversal of that stretch, or even say win 2/3 of the games?.........answer is nearly impossible..........

Based on numbers someone else posted I don't think any coach with this kind of record who was brought back actually kept their job for long. It has been a downward trend. One has to assume he was trying to win for 5 years and hasn't been able to. Now, all of a sudden, he's going to have a championship team? All year he's been saying he's got the guys for a championship. 4-28 isn't a championship

If they do bring Carm back I really think they are grossly overestimating the brand loyalty. I think in their heads this is the same as Beyer, Mitch, Jimmy, etc. The season ticket loss is going to be EPIC. When they've lost guys like legacy and I'll include myself who used to travel from Poughkeepsie for home games all season...they've lost the core. I'm definitely not renewing if Carm is back. If they make a change I likely still will be hard pressed to make games next year but I'll renew my tix in support.

Lets help convince Colby Karl to come back to the area, Grew up in Albany, needs a head coaching job where he can shine.
