Actually,, it’s three years of scholarships for the price of four, which is a better deal.

All this goes away IF we bring in an impact Grad, or JC, big with the last scholarship.
I think we'd all prefer to sign the impact guys first, and the back-ups later, but......this staff has done a great job with the '20 group. Lets hope we can add one more gem to this class.

Not really, this ties up two scholarships in 2021-2022 that could have been used to bring in freshman, grad transfers, or midseason transfers. I see so much more upside going down any of those avenues. Hope these guys prove me wrong but I'm not optimistic, would be different is these guys weren't contributing at big schools but they barely saw the court at schools no better than Siena. I get that Pepperdine is WCC but all 9 of their conference wins were against the 7th to 10th place teams in their league (they finished 6th).

One maybe but not two.

I think what fans, myself included, do not understand is bringing in biOth, when neither, as of now, can play in 20-21. We can not identify a meaningful difference between their games. I don’t think there would be all that many posts questioning the decision if either were coming. It’s the fact that both are that has led to most of the posts,

It’s the fact that both are that has led to most of the posts, I could even live with both if we were adding bodies for this season. And I would be fine with kids comparable to these two next year if we've already explored all other possibilities. I just don't get at all why we would take either of them on now when there is so much time to try and do better. I have to believe we could land similar kids next year no problem if it became necessary.

I will reserve judgment on these guys until i see them on the court in the green and gold. While we may not be excited with the perceived abilities of these kids yet, I was also not expecting much from Kyle based on what I had seen of him. He was a very pleasant surprise once he was on the court.
Don't forget that coaches are under pressure to bring in high academic kids as well; these guys may fit that need.

Like I said, IF we bring in an impact JC big, the '21 bigs dont see the floor over Tate/Golson and the JC big/Young. IF no one leaves, our perimeter group (Pickett, Carey, Harris, King, Carpenter and Tate/BK) in '21 wont need any help. No doubt I'd rather have only signed one of these guys instead of both. Still doenst make sense, but wont be that impactful, IF.....

Looks like $cott has finally snapped from house arrest!! 😂 I have higher ambitions than just competing for MAAC Championships. These moves make me think we can barely achieve that once Jalen is gone. I can deal with one year bad decisions but throwing away our scholarships for two years down the line is mindboggling. That is if you're right and you know more than our coaches do.

I'm with Hoopjunkie on this-- we sign a "impact" Center and my concerns go away. This staff has been great so far, I have confidence they know what they are doing!!

What will it take for some of you to relax and accept Carm and staff's decision? I looked at some of the older posts and some of you are still questioning some of the same things you did earlier. What does he need to do to gain your unquestioned confidence?

I wouldnt worry about it Mike- think of the board as sort of a modern day water cooler, where everyone gathers around and shoot the bull--in our case we talk about our passion Sienahoops-

I won't be a part of it.
