One other point URI was about 65th ranked team last year, I get nothing is guaranteed but....Dana got 17.3 min a game on a real good A10 program- do you think he transferred 'down" to Siena to get same or less time? Carm is probably going to start his best 5 players next year-- and might be 5 guards- Don/Jalen/ Gary/Manny and Dana, and make no mistake about it, that's a solid starting 5, Aidan/Kyle Y/ Jordan will get time and probably be first 3 off bench - barring Golson or BK just wowing the staff once practice starts - team will be 2 deep at every position on the floor. We are going to have to play faster to take advantage of our speed, length and athleticism. Plus to keep guys happy- and that is a good problem to have - Kyle A is a solid addition- he is at least as good as Sammy and will play hard both ways all the time I know I’m higher on Carpenter overall but I’d like to see Harris go absolutely ape defensively now that he has more comfort in the system. That’s something we can really use from him. I think he should start but Carpenter should finish....kinda like King was finishing down the stretch this year.. Carpenter could finish. He is not your typical freshmen, not only is Aidan extremely talented, its a big advantage he was here in Jan, we already know he is good. He knows the plays on both sides of the ball, vs typical freshmen who arrives over summer, plays pick up and has 5 weeks of formal practice before season starts. Not saying Aidan wont have any adjustment, just that the jump is much less for him than typical freshmen. As for Gary, shooting 48% from the line just wont get it done for end of game situations. I'm not sure of Gary's situation in California, but hopefully he has access to gym to work on his shooting, he really needs to get that FT pct up to get more min. As we all know his "upside" is off the charts. BTW I wouldnt mind another Big, especially a potential star, all I'm saying is Siena could stand pat and still win the MAAC. I'm fine with Kyle A- I think he can be valuable role player

Definitely sounds like a red shirt for next year with credit transfer being an issue. That said another big transfer immediately eligible is still a possibility along with Knox. A lot of options. Get Knox and hold one or get a big and hold one or hold both. We’ll see.

Tony, who's our top 7 in your opinion? Just told you our 5 best players are Don/Jalen/Manny/Gary/Dana-- Aidan Jordan and Kyle Y are probably next 3-- and that doesnt count possibility Golson or BK come in absolutely ready and force themselves into playing group Thanks, I guess my concern is that with the roster we have now we don't have one of the top big men in the MAAC. I don't think Kyle A gives us this. Maybe by committee Dana, Kyle Y and Kyle A do?

Also, one advantage we do have over the other MAAC teams going into the 20/21 season is that our top 7/8 player have all spent time playing together. The other teams with the new recruits/transfers won't have that luxury this year because with the Covid-19 pandemic I doubt you'll see teams on campus practicing this summer like they normally will/do. Not being able to have the summer session will probably hurt Goldson and BK getting up to speed also.

Kyle seems like a nice kid, well spoken. Glad to have him on board! Hopefully he can play this year.

"Even if the off-season proposal to allow all Division I athletes a one-time transfer waiver passes and is immediately applied, Arrington said his plan is to sit out the upcoming season and suit up for the Saints — on scholarship — for the 2021-22 season."

Get Knox and hold one or get a big and hold one or hold both. We’ll see. Knox is an athlete with a good handle and who would probably shoot over 70+% from the FT line. That would make 4 wings with speed and a handle (Carey, Carpenter, King, and Knox) who could potentially be trusted at the FT line in crunch time...just sayin'....

Not sure what the staff was thinking here? Needs about another 20 pounds of muscle to compete and give us some help at the center position. Big jump from JUCCO and a vary bad Western Illinois team to help Siena with valuable minutes at the 5. Is he any better than Denzel? Arrington had 12 games where he scored at least 5 points - including two games in double digits. He had 7 games with 5 or more rebounds, including one 10 rebound game. Keep in mind the Summit League was higher rated than the MAAC last season, so it's not like he faced inferior competition. He's a proven scholarship level D1 player who gave his team at least what Sammy gave Siena - and he did so in a stronger league regardless of how bad his own team was. What does Denzel's resume look like in comparison? Wish the kid all the best but come on fellas, for the love of god, the summit is not better than the maac and that isn't saying much. Add in the fact their schedule was atrocious and 5 points was a big night for a 6'10" player at the low mid major level? My god, that's the thing about D1 hoops. It's the only sport where strict measurables can get you a scholarship. Doesn't work in baseball, golf, football, hockey, on and on. You need to produce. Its hard to imagine an athlete of this size, playing this schedule, In that league , not having an impact. Sure, he will be an option for a few minutes and some rebounds, but geez, lets call it as it is.

He had two games where he scored double figures. If you compare his production to Friday's, they're about the same.

Carm looks like he likes to add these experienced high character type kids. I look at Kyle as Friday replacement but with a Matt Hein persona. I think he’ll serve in that role in practices this year and come game time in ‘21/22.
Still think if Kyle is def a no go for ‘20/21 we’ll still see the addition of Knox and a plug n play big.
