NCAA Tournament officially canceled. š Hope they do a bracket. Hard to wrap my head around how quickly this evolved. Never see anything like it in my life. And I lived through 9/11. When do we go back to normal? What metric do we use?

Funny you should say that - obviously a very different overall tone, but today was very 9/11-like from the standpoint that I was glued to the news all afternoon watching with disbelief at how quickly things were unfolding.

Maac cancelled all spring sports which will likely occur across the nation. Now what about the high schools.

Really sorry to hear about cancellation. Without a doubt, tournament time is my favorite time of the year on the sports calendar. Nothing comes close, especially in a year when Siena has been playing superb basketball. I don't think I ever saw a Siena team playing better half-court offense ( even in the McCaffrey years) - great cuts, crisp passing and incredible energy. 18 assists last night, and could have been higher there were so many open looks. Great season Saints and future looks bright!!

Heartbroken in Dallas. I'm with those complaining that the NCAA could have postponed and then waited to see what happens but I'm sure the logistics would have been nearly impossible.
Congrats to the Carmen and Saints on a MAAC championship and an unbelievable year.

Iām my mind- the Siena Saints are MAAC Champions! But, the MAAC has to make a ruling in this!

All those hours the experts spent making their brackets.

Been waiting ten freaking years for them to get there, and now it's gone. Could be another ten years to get back to an "N" tournament. There are no guarantees.

We didn't let Measles stop us 31 years ago...but this one stopped everyone. I am utterly heartbroken, but it can't be as bad as it feels to the players, coaches, etc... especially the seniors. Some schools dance every year...for us, our seniors will never have another chance. Never, in a million years, would I have thought something like this would happen. I also thought of 9/11. Of course, that day was on a whole different level, but this is the saddest day I can think of since that day. In my mind, Siena is the undisputed 2019-20 MAAC Champion, and next year, when we are out of the grip of this disease...hopefully...Siena will be a BEAST on a mission. Stay healthy everyone.
