I can see Jalen doing well at that G League camp. Certainly not saying that it translates to getting drafted, but could it not mean he could latch on to a G league team? Not sure what the salaries are there, but would it not also be good experience for him to develop? And he wouldn't have to sit a year to hone his skills against higher competition. Certainly don't want him to leave, but also can't say it wouldn't make sense for a kid looking to play higher. Just being honest.

you guys are forgetting about the international players who are also being scouted and will be drafted. I do not currently see JP's name on any of the published mock draft boards: www.nbadraft.net/2019mock_draftHis best chance this year of getting drafted is if he is invited to one of the combines and has a good showing, otherwise I fully expect that he will be leading the Saints next year.

I hear where you're coming from but that opportunity should be there and some for an improved and more mature 21 or 22 year old. And with a college degree to fall back on in case pro basketball doesn't work out.

I wish nothing but the best for Jalen. I truly hope he impresses the NBA scouts. IMO as most as said he just isn't ready for the NBA. I hope he learns what he needs to do to get there and come back to Siena, have a better year than last year, and lead us into the NCAA tournament where hopefully he can really make an impression. Then I can see him jumping ship. Nothing but the best Jalen!!

Should hear something if Jalen got an invitation to one of these camps by next week. If he doesn't I would expect him to (hopefully) withdraw.

Was a weirdly worded Tweet but I think it is saying 1-60 go to the combine and 61-100 to the G League Elite Camp

Worst case scenario Jalen gets a degree and a big contract to play in Europe....that's not too shabby

This is probably what he should have gotten. This means he is seen right now as somewhere between the 60th and 100th best prospects in the draft, give or take a couple because some elite guys sit out the combine.
If he plays awesome, he has a shot. If not, they’ll tell him to go back.

Strong message to the recruits out there... not only can you make an elite camp from Siena college , it will be embraced and supported.

I think he'll be back next year. But I think there's a real possibility if he has a big season he'll be a two and done player. The NBA obviously likes him this is now more than just the twitter GMs. He's not ready now but a year from now he could be a legitimate first round prospect. Hopefully we have a big season and it really buoys recruiting!

Elite Camp means they know the name and will let him try to prove he belongs in the draft. Good luck Jalen!
