ESPN saying this is the first time in over 15 season that an ncaa d1 player had over 45 points and 10 assists.

Sucked that we ended up with the loss - my big takeaway - we can play with anybody in this conference - came up short today but we fought like hell out of a 20pt hole and that was huge - 4 TO's - F'n FOUR - doubt any Siena team EVER only had 4 TO's, in a regulation let alone a triple overtime slug fest - Jalen is da' man and our future - zone late got us sideways but all will learn from it - I like the Degnan, Smithen, Camper, Seymour and, of course, Pickett lineup - lots of options and our lack of overall athleticism is mitigated.

All in all great game and great comeback, it was both tough and exciting to watch at the TU. I don’t think it’s fair to point the finger at one player or play because the the game was lost because of either. You have to tip your hat to both coaches, in a marathon like that, they both have to make the right more often then not. It’s no reason why they are both rising stars in the coaching world. One stat I don’t think has been mentioned was that Siena’s bench outscored Quinny’s 5-3. That’s nuts when 207 points were scored. One of positives I can take from that is hopefully with the added depth coming in this will not a weak point in years to come and we should be able to win then bench battle. Good teams win often because the production drop of from their 4 or 5 option is not much or anything from their 6-8 options. Go Saints If we could get two more coaches in the MAAC like Jamion and Dunleavy the league would improve by leaps and bounds.

In a 3 or game, Siena committed 4 turnovers. Won the turnover battle big... lost the rebounding battle big. Yes they killed us on the glass....to only have 4 TOs in 55 minutes is insane. But we did not shoot it well again. We got 10 more shots off then QU and made one less FG.

Only have accurate data for all of D-I back to 1996-97 season. LIU's Charles Jones in November 1997 was the only other player in that period with at least 45 and 10. He was also a senior for that performance.

What surprised me a bit was not seeing Ratliffe much in the OT periods. Did he get in the first 2 at all? He had a rebound he could have turned around and laid it in and didn’t, then we turned the ball ober. And did you see the shot he missed by 3 feet? He was rusty and out of sync with his shot.

I was surprised not to see Huerter on Young at all but he tried Degnan, and for way to long. Huerter much better defensively than Degnan

Do you think Qpac is the top team in the MAAC? Also, do you see Siena & Qpac being top teams in the MAAC next year? Both have very good young coaches If you put a gun to my head yes I'd pick Quinny to win the tournament this year. Good coach and best player in the league. Plus Kelly who can really shoot it. Next year Quinny will probably be good but they graduate Young (Thank God). If everything goes according to plan Siena is the favorite next year IMHO. They have 2 great kids sitting out.

Not surprised Baker is a top coach with a plan like JC. We've also got two really good ones sitting out (plus Richard) and the likely preseason POY next year. Should be a great battle.

Man, that was entertaining. Too bad we came up short, but I definitely enjoyed the game. The second half press kind of gave you a glimpse of Mayhem. I really liked the effort, kids left it all on the floor.
The tournament should be fun!

Huerter is not a better defender than Degnan. Degnan is second on the team in steals but it was getting annoying seeing Quinny get the switch where Degnan wound up on Young and Jamion didn't do anything about it for a while. Also after today's performance Jalen Pickett will be setting a new rookie of the week award record for Siena with at least 9 and I believe 2 more weeks to go in the regular season
