And those who will return scored 76 of he 100 against Quinny. I wouldn't draw too many conclusions from today's scoring breakdown.

I think the point that we have 3 really important seniors on this team is a valid one. Fisher's 16 and 6 (no matter how much we complain about his fallaways) is valuable, and no guarantee Burns is as good as him. Degnan has been a consistent shooter, solid defender, good locker room guy. Kadeem has given us a ton of energy and made big plays offensively and defensively. They also have built a culture and chemistry on this team that is unlikely to be duplicated. It is fair to be excited about all the talent coming in and the future of guys like Jalen and Camper while also acknowledging that this team is a special one with seniors that aren't just stiffs off the street.

Agreed the seniors have done the job, but to be fair a lot of wide open shots today because of Jalen, Marist continuously doubled him all day - to kevin's credit he hit those open shots. I dont believe teams will be able to double Jalen like that next year- but that's just my 2 cents

Monmouth let me down not beating Quinny Yeah, I wanted that too but I’m not surprised that Monmouth couldn’t pull it off. I think Quinny’s better. I was more surprised that Canisius couldn’t beat Iona at Iona. I thought that was a better beat than Monmouth upsetting Quinny. Now my hopes are in Rider beating Iona and of course Siena winning their next two regular season games. I like our chances. If by chance Manhattan or SPU upsets Quinny - even better. while it would be great to have that crystal ball................Rider will be very ready for Iona at their place, and you can expect them to have a way better than 50% chance of winning that game, no surprises if they get their revenge in Lawrenceville...............but can the Peacocks take down Quinny on their home floor?, it isn't a friendly trip for any MAAC team to visit, typically no juice in the building...................then can Siena come up big on Friday night vs. Griffs?..........right now those 3 games loom large in figuring out this MAAC puzzle (and I should add prior to playing us, Griffs & Purps will have their backyard brawl on Wed, throw out the records in that one, those schools just hate each other), and even saying that, the very final day of the season is likely to have more surprises.................what a week this is gonna be............

Keep in mind that only 17 of our points today we're scored by players coming back next year...I know the guys in suits could be great, but it's not like we're losing no one. Papi? If Pickett starts he would have had a triple double, he was almost triple teamed for most of the first half and still dominated the game. More alarming should be Seymour shooting like the drunk guy next to me at Excelsior before the game would have. I will miss Kadeem a lot, the second JC became coach I thought he would thrive in this system and it took a while but glad he stuck around and brought the Mayhem. Real cool too to see how Degnan and Fisher thrived under the new coach and awesome to see them go out on a high note with a great senior night, what a waste they were under JP. Great win, two to go!

St. Peter’s has been playing better of late and put a beat down on Niagara at Yanitelli earlier today. Final score was 78-60. Even though Quinny has two games left against lower tier teams in the conference it won’t be easy for them to win both as they are at St. Peter’s on Friday followed by a quick turnaround at home against manhattan to close the regular season

From Team Rankings.com:
Team ------ W - L -----Win Conf ---Win Tournament Canisius ---- 10 - 6 ----- 31.70% ----- 10.80% Iona ----- ---11 - 6 ----- 28.10% ----- 16.20% Quinnipiac --10 - 6 ----- 16.70% ----- 13.50% Rider ------- 10 - 6 ----- 16.00% ----- 24.90% Siena ------- 10 - 6 ----- 7.60% ----- 20.10% Monmouth --- 9 - 8 ----- 0.00% ----- 3.30% Marist -------- 7 - 9 ----- 0.00% ----- 4.30% Manhattan --- 7 - 9 ----- 0.00% ----- 0.90% St Peters --- 5 - 11 ----- 0.00% ----- 1.80% Fairfield ---- 5 - 11 ----- 0.00% ----- 2.60% Niagara ---- 5 - 11 ----- 0.00% ----- 1.50%
If Iona loses to Rider on the road, Siena and Iona's regular season %'s could mostly reverse. Then all it would probably take is 1 Quinny loss for Siena to control its own destiny.

Since we play at 9pm on Friday and Iona/Rider and Monmouth/Manhattan and Quinnipiac/St. Peter's are all at 7pm - it's possible that Siena could be eliminated from the #1 seed before they play if Iona and Monmouth win (according to playoff status) but if Rider and St. Peter's win - Siena could be in a position at tip-off of being completely in control of their own destiny.
No scoreboard watching, fellas...beat the Griffs!!!

Nice that we catch Canisius on Friday after they have to play on Wednesday. Of course on Sunday we will have to come back and play a Niagara team that has been resting since Wednesday.

If they win, they could be in the driver's seat as well...only it's better for them if Quinny wins since they swept them.
There's a chance that game could, in effect, practically be for all the marbles.

Yeah, if things go well and we win...there's still the chance of the let down game on Sunday. Lucky for us though, Niagara has the worst defense in the league and has little to play for except avoiding the 11 seed.
