Canisius 9-5 Monmouth 9-6 Quinnipiac 9-6 Iona 9-6 Siena 9-6 Rider 9-6 Marist 7-7 Manhattan 7-7
An update with 3 games to go (Canisius has 4).
Siena could finish anyplace from 1-8 mathematically.
If we run the table (a tall task but not impossible) and we get a few breaks we could finish in the top 2.
There's a chance there could be a 6 way tie at 11-7. We don't fair well in tiebreakers unless it is a two way tiebreaker with Rider only.

Obviously need to win games first and foremost - that Canisius game on 3/1 could be huge for tiebreaker purposes if we can steal it.
If Siena could somehow win out (tall task, but in this season anything is possible), the ideal scenario would be for Rider and Canisius to win out also. Get a little help from Monmouth beating Quinnipiac (who may have the best path to the regular season title) and Siena wins a tiebreaker with Rider & Canisius to steal the #1 seed.
Likely, maybe not? But in this crazy season everything is on the table.

Another path is we win all our games, canisius beats Iona and Monmouth but loses to Niagara, Monmouth beats quinny. Then it doesn’t matter what rider does or in any other games. It’s not even the only scenario so much can happen.

It’s not even the only scenario so much can happen. Here's probably the "easiest" way Siena gets the #1 seed: Siena goes 3-0 Rider goes 3-0 Canisius goes 3-1 (loss to Siena) Quinnipiac loses one game Siena, Rider, Canisius would all be 12-6... Siena would be 2-1, Canisius 2-2, Rider 1-2 in "mini" conference Siena would also be the #2 seed if they won out and the rest all happened but Quinnipiac did not lose again. Let's just win our games and the rest probably will happen the way this season has gone. Our part is the toughest part of it. Go Saints!!!

The way this conference is this year it is almost impossible to predict who will finish where, just about every team is capable of getting beat. It’s just too close to call!

Agreed--I'm just worried about getting a top 5 finish- probably going to take 2 more wins to guarantee that. And Marist is no gimme, foxes have been playing well of late- winning 5 of their last 6 and 4 in a row, with wins over Monmouth, Quinny and Canisius- teams Siena has been unable to beat so far

other than having to play 4 games...………...finishing 6th isn't the end of the world (not that I am advocating that)...…………..they beat the 11th place team on Thurs, then get a day off before facing # 3 on Sat night, which is a winnable game...………..and in as much as depth can be our issue with the minutes our starters play, around the maac teams do not have "quality" depth either and face the same problem, sure they have bodies to play but they aren't really productive off their bench...………..

Not speculating but it’s fun to look at the scenarios. I havent cared about them in many years. I hope they finish as high as possible regardless of matchup.

I'm usually all about scenarios but this is just too crazy to speculate on, key is getting by Marist on Sunday and going from there. A loss to Marist and a very real scenario could be:
Monmouth 11-6 Rider 10-6 Iona 10-7 Quinnipiac 9-7 Canisius 9-7 Marist 9-7 Siena 9-7 Manhattan 9-7

Saints are +3.5 per game in TO margin in MAAC play. However, they're -5.4 per game in rebounding margin.
PPS Offense = 1.177 PPS Defense = 1.171
Differential = +0.006
The FG% and Fouls are pretty close. Siena is walking a fine line to win games.
Good rebounding teams can hurt us most.

Fun for sure...there isn't a person on this earth who would have thought we'd be having this discussion at this point in this season way back when the MAAC coaches voted against us...for the past too many years we've been arguing about who should get let go from the team before the next season, and, of course, not to forget the HC...so proud of this team and how they just keep improving

I agree. If the goal is to go as far as possible in the tournament, the 6 seed may be preferable to the 4 or 5 given the game times and match up with the 3 rather than the 1 seed. That said, I'd prefer the Saints win out and then play the games that are in front of them.
